AAS Objeq transforms everything he hears into a Percussion instrument.
His ears are your microphone of your iDevices.
But as it is AUv3 effect plugin, it can hear also any other signal from the track where you inserted it.
So by using your microphone, you are clapping your hands, on a table, on an old friend, on anything you want.
You can also connect an instrument, a guitar for example, as I do in the video below and tap on it.
Or use it as an effect as I also show in this video.
To transform sound, AAS Objeq uses 3 types of resonators. Beam, Drumhead, and Plate resonator (To the left of UI)
Right next to it, The Position parameter lets you change where the resonator is hit or fed.
At the bottom a slider allows you to adjust the pitch on 8 octaves.
The Material (X axe) parameter lets you change the timbral characteristics of the sound
The Decay (Y axis) parameter lets you change how long the resonance last.
The Tone parameter acts as a low-cut, it is filter located to the right of the IU just before the Mix slider.
The app is Super nice, easy to use.
The sounds generated are quite nice too.
Being able to use it as an effect makes it even more appealing, and strangely and against all odds, maybe that's where I prefer it...
A Super App!

You know how I know I have a real Killer App in my hands?
In fact, it's very simple......
That's when I did a song instead of doing my review....
So, here we are, once again, I haven't slept, eaten and I'm not even washed, but that normally I shouldn't say it....
Now let's talk a little bit about this killer App...
It's a Shimmer Fx!
First of all, it starts well, especially since there are not that many and even less in the app Store....
And from that level, it's simple, there are none...
This Shimmer is actually a rack that contains all the modules effects needed to create a beautiful Shimmer Fx.
And that's what makes it so powerful,
The main window displays 2 vu meters with 2 small leds for Peak and Sustain. Next to it, the factory presets (very beautiful)
Below from left to right, 2 knobs for the Sustainer (Mix and output) and an Enable switch.
For Delay, Reverb, Pitch Shifter, Modulation and Sustainer, a Mix knob and an edit switch. This switch is a shortcut to go directly to the desired module.
A spread knob for the LFO
An Enable switch for the Low and Pass filter (2 rotating knobs) for the Harmonic Exciter..
In 1, a Digital Stereo Delay: 3 knobs / Amount | Feedback | Envelope Chorus + 2 expression Pads: Y Feedback X Delay time
In 2, 2 Pitch Shifter. For each, 3 knobs / Semitones | Balance | Level + 1 expression Pad: Y Level | X Balance
In 3, an Early Reflection Digital Reverb with 6 knobs and 2 expression Pads:
Knobs: Room size | Time | Damping | Delay | Feedback | LFO Pan
Pad 1 (named Environment): Y Reverb level | X Low Pass Filter
Pad 2 (named Early Reflection): Y Feedback | X Delay
In 4, Modution: 4 sections & 1 expression Pad
BPM Sync Speed: None | 2 Beats | 1 Beat | 1/2 Beat | 1/4 Beat |1/8 beat | Trigger
Envelope Shape | Sine | Slope up | Slope down | Square | Saw
Modulation Type: Vibrato | Pan | Hole | Invert
Pitch Glide: Drop out | Center | Raise up
Expression Pad: Y Modulation level | X Modulation spread
In 5, an Exciter: 10 bands: First to Ten / 3 profiles + Gain, Enable and Reset switches.
In 6, a Sustainer: Enable switch / 2 rotating knobs: Grace time | Feedback
Isn't that amazing?
All the more amazing as I said above, because it is a rack to have for the price you pay:
A Delay, a Chorus, an Early Reflection Digital Reverb, a Pitch Shifter, a Modulator, a Harmonic Exciter and a Sustainer!
Isn't that amazing?
ShimmerFX is super-powerful!
A perfect sound quality!
An incredible versatility!
An unbeatable value for money!
It is a Must Have whether or not you like this type of effect.
Me, I love it!
And I'm going back to finish my song...

The App Store description
This is an AUv3 compatible effect which must be used as plugin with your favourite DAW such as Cubasis, Meteor, Auria or GarageBand. It supports a modern graphical interface and presets with stereo meters for monitoring signal levels.
This shimmer effect is a combination of effects that creates an etherial wall of sound. The effect combines a digital delay and pitch shifter to create multiple harmonies before entering a rich long reverb with controllable filtering. The resulting effect is a monsterously huge sound adding a spacious atmospheric quality to any lead instrument or vocal.
The effect also features many beat synced modulation options with various modes of operation such as your basic pans and vibrato effects but including sweeps and morphing harmonies.
Finally to give the effect some real 'shimmer' we've added a harmonic exciter and a sustain section which samples and holds on to the sound to pull out and emphesise the harmonics.
The effect presents all the most frequently used controls to the user in a single screen, but each effect has it's own distinct set of controls and a total of 7 pre-configured touch pads allowing easy recording of controller data.
This plugin allows complete parameter automation and auto synced modulation to master tempo.
This is one of a suite of AUv3 compatible plugins which will also soon be available from 4Pockets. Version 1.01 release notesAdded a Harmonic Exciter control page. Fixed a couple of minor issues which could cause problems in GarageBand.
Vatanator is a Drum machine...
Her speciality is all these good old Drum Machines and analog sounds from the previous millennium and if she is a specialist she has to offer us a complete range or at least the most complete possible of all these old models.
Is she taking up this challenge?
Honestly, yes, I think so....
That's enough, isn't it?
The little trick is that many of these presets preferred to use a nickname.
For many of them, it is a lost cause as soon as you press one of the 8 available Pads they will be unmasked.
But for others, it's a more complicated one....
at least for me....
Each pad can contain up to 8 samples.
Most factory presets come with several samples by Pads.
You can import your own Samples in each of the 2 versions.
For the Stand Alone version you will choose the Sample to assign to a Pad, for the AUv3 version you will also have the possibility to map them on a keyboard.
(Ability to import samples via Files, AudioShare, AudioCopy, Dropbox or iTunes Share | Files only for the AUv3 version)
This version of Vatanator is AUv3 compatible and may also be used in Stand Alone.
There is also a AUv3 version only: Vatanator SX (link below)
There is not much difference between the two versions except the Sequencer, 16 to 32 steps and its song mode: 8 patterns to be spread over 15 slots by drag and drop.
This is for the Stand Alone version.
The other difference is the automation with envelope follower of the effects: Delay, Distortion, Ring Modulator, Reverb and Filter.
For the Stand Alone version you will open a window and draw your automation on the 16 or 32 steps of your pattern.
The Stand Alone version allows you to save and export your patterns
For the AUv3 version, a midi learn button will allow you to control your automation over the entire sequence.
For both versions an FX loop mode is available as well as 2 XY expression Pads.
The first Pad is dedicated to Delay, the second one to choose Distortion + Reverb or Filter for the AUv3 version. For the. Stand Alone version: Pad 1 Delay or Filter Pad 2 Distortion or Ring Modulator.
For the available settings of each of the effects look at the images below in this post.
For the effects part, Vatanator is great even if I would have liked to have a bus for each of them, at the same time it is just enough to run several instances of Vatanator for the problem to be solved. This is for the AUv3 version of course.
A mixer is available in both versions.
Volume, Pan, Mute and Solo.
Now let's move on to Samples.
Amp (Pre), ADSR, and Pitch.High pass filter and Swing.
In conclusion, Vatanator is certainly one of the best selling Vintage Drum Machines in the App Store.
The quality of all Samples is perfect.
The ability to import your own Samples turns it into a powerful Drum Sampler!
Honestly there is not much bad things to say about this App, even nothing...
So my conclusion is:
Vatanator is a Killer App! A Must Have!

I told you a few days ago that I was a self-taught person. That I never learned to music theory, etc...
But because I've been working in music since I was 17, I've learned a lot of things unintentionally and others because I had to.
Just to be able to communicate with "real" musicians, sound engineers, etc...
So with time I can talk in frequency with a sound engineer, read a score, etc...
But one thing I still don't know is the scales except of course the C major one and it's relative minor...
Which chords can I play in C major? I don't know at this moment because here I am in front of my iPad writing... I could tell you, but for that to happen I need to take my guitar on my lap or sit in front of a piano...
ScaleBud is a AUv3 keyboard and how it's cool to have an AUv3 keyboard! To tell you the truth, it's even the coolest thing that Audio Unit Implementation brings to my iPad. I've never had any problem switching from one App to another...
On the other hand, to be able to resize my keyboard, to add as many as I want, one for the chords and one for the notes, that's really great especially when you have big fingers like me...
ScaleBud is not the most powerful AUv3 keyboard available in the App Store. You can't customize it, there is no Drum Pad, Ribbon, etc....
On the other hand there is a little thing that all others don't have. which is the.visualization of the scales and the Chords progressions above the keyboard and that's really really great.
47 scales are available (see All scales below)
For the Chord mode, it's even more awesome because your keyboard will be arranged as follow.
Triad | 7ths | 9ths | 11ths & 13ths
For both mode you will be able to lock or not the keyboard, and to set the keys wide.
For the Chord mode you can choose chord Inversion & set the octave.
I know that some of you may think that all keyboards display the notes.
Yes, but on the keys, and I don't look at the keys when I play....
I always look up, so when I play with ScaleBud I can take a picture of what's on display... (The Aspis use a photographic memory.... That's why I never had to learn musical theory... But it does it to all of us... You too... Simply for "normal" people it is not a reflex unlike Aspergers...
With ScaleBud you will be able to learn scales and chord progressions and also learn to use your photographic memory!)
Isn't that cool?
If you have children, I highly recommend this App...
To conclude ScaleBud is a great App and unique in the app store!

The App Store description
ScaleBud is a music theory tool for composers, artists and learners. It has more than 40 most popular scales and counting. AUv3 Plugin, Audiobus MIDI Sending/ Filtering and Standalone app included.
It has a very simple, single-view interface that you can choose the scale and key you want to work as well as note or chord mode selector on the left side. Right side lists the scale notes or chords you want to work with. In note mode, you can fastly jump between notes in the scale by selecting them from the list. In chord mode, you can see the triad, 7th, 9th, 11th or 13th chords for each note in the scale. You can jump between them quickly as well, by pressing the chord you want to play from keyboard. Also, in chord mode, you can set the octave you want to play for the chords from left side of the keyboard.
ScaleBud comes with an AUv3 MIDI plugin and standalone versions. You can directly control your iOS, Mac or PC audio apps with CoreMIDI. Just open the settings menu and select the MIDI Out you want to send MIDI to.
ScaleBud also supports Audiobus MIDI Sending and Filtering. You can send MIDI from Audiobus 3 app just like regular CoreMIDI workflow. Also, in Audiobus MIDI Filter mode, you can feed MIDI Input data from your hardware or MIDI app, and ScaleBud filters out the off-scale notes in note mode, or plays the corresponding chord, if any available, for each note, like a chorder, in chord mode.
You can use ScaleBud with Audio Unit version 3 hosts like Audiobus 3, AUM, Cubasis 2, Beat Maker 3, apeMatrix and Sequencism. As an audio unit plugin, it both maps/filters your MIDI Input to the MIDI Output you route, and sends the notes/chords you pressed from its keyboard. In chord mode, you can press any type of chord from the list in order to make chorder generate chords in that type. For example if you press a 7th chord, it will generate 7th chords for each note you send it from your MIDI keyboard.
Also, it has several presets but you can save your custom presets with the supported hosts. So, you can quickly jump between keys, scales and chords you want to work with.
ScaleBud is not an audio app. It just creates or filters MIDI data coming from input and sends them to MIDI output. It does not generate any sound in any mode.
You can always send feedback for bug reports, feature requests or rate the app from the Support section in Settings menu.
Standalone app requires iOS 10.0+
AUv3 plugin requires iOS 11.0+ and a supporting host app.
ScaleBud also offers its core components open sourced on GitHub. Feel free to fork them, send a pull request to make it better, open an issue to share your ideas or give them a star if you like them.
ALKit: https://github.com/cemolcay/ALKitVersion 1.5 release notesThis version adds a new settings item where you can adjust the size of your keyboard keys. Adds pentatonic scale chords. Increases the keyboard's key sensitivity. Updates the Audiobus MIDI Sender
I am a self-taught person
I never learned to play the guitar, but yet I recorded several albums and played with a few artists as a guitarist.
I never learned to read music theory and yet I made several albums as an arranger.
Likewise, I never learned to be a sound engineer but I have been in this position on many albums and stages also.
Because of that I always thought I was a fraud, an impostor.... Just a lucky guy....
And this App is really not going to help me to trust myself....
Because tomorrow maybe I'll be hired as a sound designer for the next Michael Jackson album....
Oh no, that's not possible....
Seriously, auGEN X is incredible!
You know, all those sounds, cartoon, police siren, beep, helicopter...
Also, Snares, kick, HH...
I can make them all now!
Yes, and fingers in the noze!!!
And if you don't believe me, you just have to watch the video below!
For the specifications...
I add as always the App Store description at the end of this post.
There is also a very well done user manual inside the App.
Everything is explained.
I had a look on the developer website but the link to the User manual doesn't work, so I added it here, below.
You know, it's the first time that I am not talking about the characteristics of an App...
There are a few reasons for this that I want to explain now.
The first one is, to be totally honest, I am not an expert in this domain and I don't want to copy the App Store description nor the user manual.
The second one is that I don't want you to be scared with a lot of technical terms. auGEN X is so easy to use, so intuitive...
It's just amazing!
It's a game!
Everybody can use it!
Believe me! One more time check out the video demo and keep in mind that it's me who made it! The self-taught person who know nothing in sound design...
The last reason is that I just received a phone call from Steven...
So I have to go
auGEN X is a Killer App! A Must Have ! A incredible App!

auGEN X bridges the creative musical world of artists with the exacting scientific world of audio engineers. What started as a precision audio test utility has grown into a fun experimental sound design instrument. On one end use auGEN X to help set up, test, calibrate, and optimize your audio system. On the other use it to create a wide variety of interesting sounds.
auGEN X has a full-featured audio oscillator, a high quality noise generator, and an impulse generator. The simple yet powerful user interface is designed for fast, precise, intuitive control over your signals. auGEN X works both as a Stand-Alone App and as an AUv3 Audio Unit Extension responding to MIDI In and BPM Sync from Hosts.
I started making this app because as an audio electronics engineer I could not find a single audio generator that does everything that I require AND is an AUv3 Audio Unit. auGEN X has expanded into a musical tool for exploring and learning sound design. Our goal is for auGEN X to be an Essential in your audio toolbox. We hope you enjoy it and we’re excited to hear the cool things that you do with auGEN X!

Every day I receive new App (s).
No, rather, I get a redeem code for an App.
Just received, and this even before saying thank you to the Developer, I go into the App Store and download the App.
And of course I open it.
Sometimes I close it immediately telling myself that between her and me, it's not easy, that we're going to have to spend a lot of time getting to know each other before we can play together.
When I opened Octachron for the first time, I smiled, like you smiled at someone you already know.
Like an old friend.
Just one "Yoh" , and off we go.
For you, it will be the same whether you are Japanese or Dutch, drummer or guitarist, pro musician or not.
Octachron is the Drum sequencer....
it is the Drum sequencer by definition.
If you are asked what punk is, you will answer the Sex Pistols, expressionism: Munch, Kung Fu Bruce Lee...
And if you are asked what is a Drum sequencer: you will answer Octachron.
So, you all already know how it works, whether you have it or not, whether you have seen it or not.
Check out the specifications at the end of this post.
Octachron is so easy to use.
It allows you to create Polyrhythm, to send cc to your Drum Machine or other instrument. (to add live to your pattern or even create special Fx.)
To save the custom mapping for your favourite Drum Machine (if it not belong to the built in factory mappings)
To play a song with unlimited number of patterns!
You have 8 patterns by instance of Octachron so the maximum number of patterns for a song should be 8...
Yes, but you can run several instances of Octochron because it's an AUv3 Midi processor...
So for example my first instance will play 8 patterns 2 times.
16 patterns of 16 or 32 steps.
So, I just have to create a first blank pattern in my second instance with 16 repeats and so on...
To conclude my conclusion
Octochron is a Killer App! A Must Have ! Easy to use and very powerful !

I love so much this instrument!
Mellowsound supports IAA, Audiobus & the AUv3 technology and can be used also as a Stand Alone App.
I never start a review like this. I mean with the specifications of an App, but you will see further down that there is a reason for this.
Both versions are identical excepted for the keyboard and it's horizontal slider and the ability to record your performances and share them.for the Stand Alone version.
For the sound library:
Winds: Flute | Clarinet | Sax | Oboe
Strings: Sad Strings | Violon ensemble | Viola | Cello | Harp
Keyboards & Mallets: Piano | Church Organ | Vibraphone | Glockenspiel & Voices
Guitars: Electric Guitar | 12 Strings Guitar | Spanish Guitar
Voices: Choir Males | Choir Female
So 18 presets!
It's cool. There are not so many Mellotron Apps with as much presets as Mellowsound has and for this price too!
Also there are a few of them that I don't have and I am very very happy to own them from now.
The Harp, Guitars, Piano & Church Organ...
For the sound quality?
Check out the video, I played a little bit with all of them.
There are all cool excepted one preset that sound a little bit weird to me: Glockenspiel & Voices
With a Mellotron you can play 2 sounds at once.
Mellowsound can do this.
If you like to play one layer only, you can set the layer 2 to none or use the little mixer and set the volume of the desire layer to zero.
The mixer comes with a volume and pan for the 2 layers (it's really cool!)
For the non AUv3 version a volume and pan is also available for the Metronome and the Master output.
As you can see on the picture below, Mellowsound comes with these 2 knobs that we can found in all the Mellotron Apps (one more for the volume).
The Tone & Pitch.
For the Tone, I have a little bit problem...
It seems to be a low pass filter...
The Pitch is ok
Mellow sound comes also with 3 FX
A Tremolo, a Reverb and a Delay.
It's cool even if the FX (s) will be apply to both layers.
We don't have a Noise "layer" and a user presets library (Stand Alone version)...
Now I have a strange sensation while I am doing something else as I am playing...
I mean, if I setup an FX, use the little Mixer or the Tone or Pitch knobs, it's like there is an overflow of informations and sometimes I can hear some cracks...
So the best is to setup everything before to play.
Before to conclude, I guess that you all remember that I start this review by saying what was supporting Mellowsound.
Despite than Mellowsound is an AUv3 instrument plugin you can use only one instance of it. I don't know the reason why... It's also the first time that this happened to me...
So if you like to play with 2 Mellowsounds which means between 2 or 4 layers (to separate the Audio output of both layers for example...) you will have to use the IAA or Audiobus version with.
(Check out the end of the video)
I am really happy to have this App.
I already used it in a few videos and will use it again.
But at this moment some improvements are necessary to bring it to the top!
Despite this. If you love the Mellotron and need some Mellotron non casual sounds with a good quality, and a cheap price Mellowsound is for you.
Note that Mellowsound is Free with App in Purchases, so try it!
A Very Very Good App!

It took us a long time to get it as we had to rebuild entirely the app several times but it worthed it. You can now play Mellowsound directly from your favorites DAWs (GarageBand, Cubase, BeatMaker 3, …), save your favorite settings to users presets, automate any Mellowsound parameters and uses all your DAWs favorite tools (arpeggiator, sequencer, ...) with Mellowsound. A few days ago someone from the Facebook Group iOS Music Apps Infos asked this question:
"Which iOS developers do you feel are pushing boundaries & producing innovative apps? Name the apps you feel fit this criteria."
I answered this developer. The StepBud developer!
You know what?
Because I have a big problem to write my review...
Yes, here there is something that I never seen before and I don't know how to name it.
Because of this, I will have to add an image to my text just below.
So Stepbud is a one track step sequencer. (Because it's an AUv3 Midi processor so you can run as many instance as you like. By enable the sequencer mode all the instances will play in sync)
Unlimited number of steps...
Because this sequencer has been thought another way it offers a lost of possibilities that can make our work easier in certain circumstances, faster in others, and also and this is the most important very creative.
Now I will try to explain how it works.
One Stepbudstep plays a note or a Chord.
Scroll up a Stepbudstep to set the desire chord or note.
You can changes the scales, set a custom chord too.
You can repeat a Stepbudstep, mute it, skip it, set a probality, set its length (rate), gate, modulation, portamento, pitchbend and swing.
An example before to go on
If I want to program à HH track which plays a closed HH on the step 1 to 7 and an open one at the step 8
I set the first Stepbudstep to 1/8, I repeat it 7 times and add the open HH Midi note to the step 8. I can remove the other Stepbudsteps, mute them or skip them.
I think that the best is that you have a look at the video below first.
After you can come back here and checkout the "tuto" below.
And me I will stop my review here.
If I don't want to continue this review it's because there are so many way to use it.
It depends only of your needs and imagination.
And I think that there is not a lot of restrictions.
You know, there are a lot of innovative Apps, a lot of innovative developers. Sometimes it's very innovative but a little bit complexe to me and most of the time, I don't have enough time to make the necessary efforts to be an "expert" with an App. Because of this, I forget this App in a folder from my iPad and never use it.
Here there is no effort to do. Just to play with it. And more I will play with it more I will know when to use it.
I already know that for Drum programing, for a Chord progression, a bass line I will use it.
But I also I know that I can do much more than this...
So you will surely see this Stepbud in a lot of my future videos.
StepBud is a Killer App!
A Must Have App to work fast!
A creative App!
An innovative App!
And I am sure that it's only the beginning!

The App Store description
StepBud is a MIDI Sequencer with Audio Unit AUv3 plugin, Audiobus and Ableton Link.
Add an unlimited number of steps to your sequencer.
Your steps appear with a LED and a fader on top of your screen.
You can change the active mode that your step faders displaying/controlling.
- Set the current note or chord in range of the scale and key you selected with respect the range of the octave you want to focus,
- Set the velocity, rate, gate time, modulation, pitch bend, portamento, probability and swing for each step,
- Try increasing the rate and repeat count your steps if you want to add more flavor.
- Send unlimited custom MIDI CC messages if you want to control your hardware or software synth parameters.
- Lock steps if you don't want them to change their value.
- Skip steps for creating interesting live performances.
Below the step faders, you have a master fader where you can control your entire sequencer. It has two modes which you can change from the settings strip on the bottom of the app.
- In copy mode, it assigns its value to each step.
- In shift mode, it shifts up or down each step.
If you want to go off-scale or try some crazy chords on some of your steps, or maybe on all of them, you can go to the Step Editor by double tapping the LED of the step you want to edit.
In StepBud's powerful Step Editor, you can set your step's notes either from the virtual keyboard or your connected MIDI keyboard. Don't forget to enable MIDI in port of your MIDI keyboard or the you want to receive MIDI from the settings menu. You may also preview the selected notes by pressing the preview button in Step Editor for making sure you created the perfect sound for your particular step.
You can also toggle the steps you want to disable by tapping its LED.
If you long-press the LED, you can access a menu where you may copy/paste the steps around, remove them or edit them.
If you enable the lock mode from the settings strip on the bottom of the app, you may adjust each visible step fader on the screen by a single swipe gesture without having to lift your finger up.
Try to change your arppegio mode from the settings strip. You can sequence your steps up, down, up-down or random order.
StepBud is a MIDI sequencer app and it does not generate sounds itself. You need to route its MIDI out port in the settings menu to the audio app you want to sequence.
Please note that you need to have an iOS 11+ device and an Audio Unit host application such as AUM, apeMatrix, Cubasis, BeatMaker or Audiobus in order to use the StepBud as an Audio Unit plugin. And don't forget to route StepBud's MIDI out to the app or audio unit you want to sequence.
StepBud's MIDI layer powered by free and open-source project AudioKit
Also, StepBud offers its core components for free on GitHub. Feel free to star, fork or contribute.
https://github.com/cemolcay/MIDIEventKitVersion 1.3.2 release notesThis version adds two new toggles for "MIDI Note Input" and "Sequencing". - You may disable the MIDI note input from MIDI settings screen for disabling "Root Note Change" feature. - You may toggle sequencing if you have more then one AUv3 instance and don't want all of them to play. - The sequencer will be disabled by default if are loading new instances. - Both toggles are available as Audio Unit parameters as well. - Fixed a bug regarding Ableton Link Play/Pause feature on Standalone version. - Fixed a bug regarding AudioBus transport feature on Standalone version.

All the Samples can be re assigned to a specific Drum Pad as well as the Midi control command.
Now let's talk about another Unreal thing...
Drum Session it's a Drum patterns library also!
19 catégories (Rock, Reggae, Jazz...)
All groove come with their variations
To add a pattern to your song simply drag it to the Timeline.
To duplicate it, drag its right side to the right.
Then you will be able to edit it by dragging it to the bottom of the screen.
A new Pattern will be created and added to the Timeline
Added to a new track...
Yes, as you can see on the first image below, the Timeline comes with 2 tracks. One for the Drum Session library (more patterns can be downloaded from the Cloud) and one for us the users.
This is an awesome feature because it allows you to overdub patterns with any risk to destroy them.
You can also edit both patterns (Library & users) with the step editor.
It's not finish...
We have at this moments a Drum Machine full of Drum Samples & a huge Patterns library with a drag and drop GUI.
But we have also the ability to add as many Tempo changes as we like to our song.
The export menu is also awesome because we can export our Session as a Midi or Audiofile (separate tracks or not)
One of my quests has ended toda because I found the best Drum Machine (real and natural Drum sounds) available in the App Store.
Drum Session is so great and so easy to use...
It's a Killer App a Must Have for all of us the iOS musicians!

F..., I am an old man.
My first Sampler was an Akai S700, then a S900, S950, S1000, S3000 to finish with the S6000
The S950 was released in 1988 and it was the one I used for my first LP...
So, the RX950 App is an emulator of the S950 conversion
It was a 12 bit Sampler
To be totally honest, I can not tell you if the emulation is the exact reproduction of the S950 because I don't have one now...
But, in one way, I don't mind...
The important thing to me is if I will use this plug-in or not.
And the answer is YES!
Because the processing quality of this emulator is great
It can help to transform a cold digital sound into a more warm, louder one by just using the imput gain.
More imput will add also a little bit of distortion.
After, you have the mono / stereo switch. Same as we had in the S950
You can use it to shape your sound or to control your mix
(We always have to control our mix in mono mode...)
Now, there are 2 more knobs.
The second one from the left is the bandwidth
It controls the target sample rate.and the analog to digital conversion.
The last knob is a steep low pass filter.
This App can be use as a very "visible" effect or just a little bit to add warmth to your mix or single track.
In both cases, the result will be great because of the processing quality of this App.
RX950 is a Killer App!!!

The App Store description
• Legendary 12-bit resolution
• Perfect modelling of the S950's audio signal path
• Adjustable audio bandwidth (and thus sampling frequency)
• Original steep 6th-order low-pass Butterworth filter
• Stereo or mono operation
• Low CPU consumption
• Supports AUv3 and Inter-App Audio
How does it work:
The Input Gain Knob makes your sound loud’n'proud with the S950’s unique grit and warm distortion. It’s powerful and will help anything stand out in your mix.
The Audio Bandwidth Knob controls the target sample rate and analog-to-digital conversion circuitry with an exquisite, yet remarkably subtle, aliasing effect.
The Filter Knob controls the S950’s infamous steep low-pass filter. Use it on separate elements, or on any output bus or master section.
The Mono switch button is for mono operation (as the original S950) with a 50/50 mix. Great for checking your mix. Version 1.1.6 release notes• Fixed a bug causing knobs to not show properly • Fixed a bug potentially crashing the app upon exiting
