Audio Function Generator PRO is a Frequency (ies) a,d Noise generator including 6 distinct modules. The first: Frequency Generator. Enter a frequency in the text field (range 1.0 – 21kHz). Select one of the four waveforms: sine, rectangular, triangular or sawtooth or choose a musical note's frequency. Press the play button to start or stop playback. The frequency slider provides another alternative to the text field entry via the keyboard as well as the Fine Tune row. Just below this row, another one allows you to save your settings as a preset. (The preset setting opens a popover which allows you to customise your presets.). You can also save them in the dedicated menu. Set the volume via the volume slider or via the vol+/vol- buttons on your iPhone or iPad. Tapping on the Master Volume button opens a popover so you can enter the volume directly (not just via the volume slider). The selectable range is either 0-100 or -60dB to 0dB if you prefer using dB entry. The maximum volume is determined by the respective value configured on the Settings page. A Beats-per-minute setting allows you to pulse the audio at a custom on/off timing. The Beats-per-minute menu allows you to generate a pulsed audio signal. You can pulse the generated audio within a range of 1 – 600 BPM. The waveform with currently selected frequency and amplitude is shown right above the Master Volume button. You can Pan the signal to the L or R output of your iDevice and and change the phase of the generated audio for the left and right channel individually. The second: Sweep Frequency or volume In sweep mode, the function generator runs in both directions, min => max frequency and max => min frequency within the specified time. In Volume Sweep mode, the amplitude is increased from 0-100% within the specified time. If the Repeat button is selected, the sweep will repeat in a loop. If you enable the Siren Mode (Setting menu), the sweep function increments from min to max and then decrements to min again. Then it repeats from min to max and so on. Select a start frequency by entering a value in the text field or set the frequency via the frequency slider. Then tap on “Set Start”. This sets the sweep start frequency. Do the same for a stop frequency. The sweep time can be set via the sweep time slider. Its max value can be configured in the Settings menu. The current sweep time is indicated by the sweep timer. Third: Noise There are 6 types of noise that can be played: White Noise, Pink Noise, Violet Noise, Grey Noise, Brown Noise and Blue Noise. Fourth: Dual Frequency Generator The dual frequency generator provides means for outputting a different frequency per each channel – left or right individually. You can even output different waveforms per channel. Say you want to play 440Hz sine on the left channel, and 1000Hz saw-tooth on the right channel Also the volume and phase of each channel can be controlled individually. Fifth: Multitone Generator (available as an Audiobus App) The MultiTone Generator provides means to create and play up to 8 completely individual tone combinations in parallel from the 4 describe above. The frequency and the volume of each tab can be set individually. The last module is a Click Tracks generator Set the pause between the Click tracks and it's Amplitube. To conclude: This App is awesome. Can be use by Sound Engineers, Technicians and even Musicians. Despite the technical side of this App, it is fun. 4 of these modules can be used as Drone. The latest Click Tracks like a metronome. But the fifth: The Multitone Generator is a Drone in its own right! For this reason the developer had the judicious idea to make it a full-fledged Audiobus compatible App!I will post his review very soon! I love this App. Very well thought out, very well done... iFretless Bass... A classic. An old App now but which has evolved over time to stay always at the top... iFretless Bass is a bass sound expander: Bass Fretless, Bass Slap, Bass Pick, Synth Bass,... (See the list below...) Corn is above all a unique interface. A real bass neck that allows you to play like a real bass with all the playing technics of a bass player. Slide, Hammer, Chord, Vibrato. The advantage of this keyboard, for guitarists like me, but also violinists, cellists and of course bass player, is that we don't have to think about playing... We are on familiar ground.... In fact, almost all string instrument players will be able to enjoy this Fretboard since it is possible to set the tuning system to the decimal point, the tuning system Major thirds | Fourths | Guitar | Tritone | Fifth as well as the number of frets and strings. But the top of the line is that iFretless Bass uses the accelerometer accurately detects touch pressure on the screen and respond with dynamic selection of samples of the appropriate timbre and volume. The Sample range velocity will allow you to select the layers played according to your tap. Watch the demo video... Now the MIDI... Mani Consulting Limited Company formerly Blue Mango is one of the few developers creating compatible MPE Apps. And that's a shame because it offers quite interesting possibilities like assigning a different MIDI channel to each of the strings or notes played... (Watch the demo video) In conclusion: iFretless Bass is 2 Apps in one. On one side a Bass instrument expander with a unique keyboard and on the other side an MPE (or not) MIDI Controller just as unique. iFretless Bass is a Killer App, a Must Have and an Essential App for me! Price $14.99 AuthorMani Consulting Limited Company Type Bass sound Expander / MIDI Controller Supports Inter-App Audio (IAA), Audiobus, AUv3, MPE Version 1.4.21 Released 03/29/2012 Updated 07/29/2019 The Auv3 versionIAA | Stand upTutorialPresetPresets save a snapshot of ALL settings in the app. A good way to get started is to browse through the presets and try them out. If you need to make changes to settings that affect all presets, you must open each preset one at a time, adjust the setting, and save the preset. Sound and toneInstrumentSounds in iFretless come from samples recorded from various bass instruments. Use this list to choose a sample set. Fretless Bass | Slap Bass | Jazz Bass | Upr|ght Bass | Hard Fmgerstyle | P|ck Bass | Muted Pick Bass | Electric Upright Bass | Wonder Bass | Saw Wave Synth | Chameleon Synth | Snarling Synth | FM Bass Volume RangeVolume range controls the dynamic volume range the app produces in response to touch force or MIDI velocity. Set a narrow range for a compressed, even volume output. Widen the range out to get more dynamic expression. Sample Velocity RangeEach sample set responds with a different type of tone depending on the force with which you press on the screen, or depending on the MIDI velocity, if using an external MIDI controller. For example, the fretted bass guitar sounds have more fret noise when you press harder. In some sample sets you will find the loudest samples are too harsh for some styles of playing. To limit the harshness, pull the upper limit down slightly. Alternatively, if you are playing a style that requires consistent strong volume, increase the lower limit to prevent softer sounds from causing inconsistency in the note attacks. VibratoVibrato is linked to the MIDI mod wheel parameter by default. But it also responds to velocity at the same time, so louder notes have wider vibrato. We recommend you set the vibrato to zero, because you can get a much more realistic vibrato by moving your finger on the screen, like fretless bass players do. But if have not learned to play vibrato with your hands, or if you control the app via a MIDI keyboard, you will want to use a moderate setting of this control to add more life to your sound. Reference PitchSet this to tune with other instruments. The default is 440 Hz. Reverb SizeHigher settings for reverb size make the simulated room sound larger: longer echo time, less clarity, etc. We recommend keeping the size set low to ensure a tight, responsive bass sound. However, if you are playing bass solos, especially with the fretless bass, a larger room sounds great. Reverb AmountSet the reverb amount independently of the room size. Typically we recommend using a high value when the room size is small, and less reverb when the room is large. EqualizerThe equalizer is your most powerful tool for controlling the tone of this instrument. With it, you can get a wide range of different kinds of bass tone, even without changing the sample set. On typical headphones, most sounds have more bass than necessary. We usually recommend setting the bass volume down a few decibels from 100 hz to tighten up the bottom end. On Screen KeyboardNumber of FretsSet this to control the number of frets on the horizontal axis of the screen. Remember that all settings, including this one, are saved separately in each preset, so if you want to change the number of strings for all the presets, you will need to open each one, adjust this setting, and save the preset again. Number of StringsSet this to choose the number of strings to display on the screen. Display Note NamesEnabling this prints the note names (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) above each string on the screen Tuning SystemThis sets the interval between strings. Bass guitars are tuned in fourths, and most users will feel comfortable with that setting. We personally feel that tuning in Major thirds works best for iPad and iPhone because scales and chords fit more comfortably on the scre The Guitar tuning tunes the lowest four strings on the screen in fourths, the space between the fourth and fifth string is a Major third, and the remaining strings are in fourths. This does not always result in an EADGBE tuning, because the tuning depends on which string you have scrolled to the bottom of the screen. However it ensures that the chords and scales you play on the lowest six strings will correspond to the same shapes or patterns that they have on a six-string guitar. Violin, Cello, and Viola players may prefer to set the tuning in Fifths MIDI Output TeansposeThis transposes the key of the instrument. It affects the internal sound and also the notes that the app outputs when used as a MIDI controller for other apps and devices MIDI Input TeansposeThis transposes the key of the instrument. It affects the internal sound and also the notes that the app intputs when used as a MIDI controller for other apps and devices Touch Force SensitivityThis app uses the accelerometer in your iPhone or iPad to measure the vibration when your fingers touch the screen. The best way to use this app is to hold your iPad in your left hand and play it with your right hand. Holding it in your hand allows it to vibrate more freely in response to touches on the screen. This results in a dynamic response with accurate and natural feel. If you place the iPhone or iPad on a hard surface such as a heavy table or desk, the vibration will be weaker so you will need to increase the touch force sensitivity in order to get the full dynamic range. If you must use the app with the iPad or iPhone on a table, place a soft pad or a small cushion underneath it in order to allow it to move more freely. The touch force sensitivity control has no effect when controlling the app via an external MIDI controller MIDIMPE mode 3 (1 channel per note)* In this mode, every note you play gets its own separate MIDI channel with separate controls for pitch bend volume, etc. Because each note is on a completely separate channel, this mode does not support legato transitions between notes such as hammer-ons and pull-offs. MPE mode 4 (1 channel per string)* In this mode, each string has its own dedicated MIDI channel, and each channel is monophonic. In other words, each string can play only one note. If you press two fingers on the same string, only the last finger to touch the screen makes a sound. This is the best setting for emulating the playing style of stringed instruments because it accurately handles hammer-on and pull-off transitions by playing them legato, without re-triggering the attack portion of the new note. This mode can also be used to get legato transitions when controlling monophonic synths that do not officially support the MPE standard. To do this, set the synth on the receiving end to monophonic mode with the input channel set to All or OMNI. *Note about using MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression): both of the MPE MIDI modes above reserve channel 1 as a control channel; they only send note start and note stop messages on channels 2-16. Because MPE MIDI requires the use of several MIDI channels simultaneously, the MIDI input and MIDI output channel selectors are disabled when an MPE MIDI mode is selected. Single channel mono legato Use this mode when you want to get accurate emulation of guitar-like hammer-on and pull-off transitions without using multi-channel MIDI. When this mode is enabled, you will not be able to play chords or double-stops. Note that even in single channel mode, iFretless still supports multi-channel MIDI input as long as you select "Ch All" as the input channel. Single channel polyphonic Use this mode when you need to play chords and double-stops using only a single MIDI channel. This mode does not support legato transitions. In this mode, the the pitch bend parameter is controlled by the average bend of all the notes you are holding down. You can use pitch bending with single notes, or you can bend an entire chord together at the the same time, but you will not be able to bend individual notes in a chord independently Band Range in SemitonesSet the MIDI bend range here. This must match the bend range of the synth device or app you are controlling. Set to 0 to have the app play as a fretted instrumen Key Range Lower LimitThe app will not send or receive MIDI notes below this note. This is useful for configuring keyboard splits, where different note ranges go to different synthesizers. Key Range Upper LimitThe app will not send or receive MIDI notes above this note Velocity CurveThe volume output of each synthesizer responds to MIDI velocity in a different way. If the way an external synthesizer is responding to MIDI coming from iFretless doesn't feel right, or if iFretless volume doesn't feel right in response to an external controller, please try adjusting this higher or lower MIDI CC Assignment | ML (MIDI Learn) & Other SettingsVolumeThis sets the MIDI CC number on which iFretless responds to volume control change requests. Default is CC 07. Sustain PedalWhen you press the ML (MIDI lean) button, iFretless listens for CC messages and sets this control to respond to the CC number corresponding to whichever controls you adjust VibratoThe modulation wheel control on most keyboards sends messages on MIDI CC 01. To respond to vibrato width control from some other CC number, adjust this setting Buffer SizeSelecting a shorter audio buffer size results in faster response time, at the expense of higher processer power usage The App Store descriptioniFretless Bass is a professional virtual instrument that provides bass and guitar players with an expressive fretless playing surface. The layout is like an eight string bass guitar with the notes colored black and white like the keys of a piano. Although it looks different from a guitar neck, bass players will find it surprisingly easy to use.

It’s flat-out driving straight-ahead, hard-hitting drum. Created by an indie developer for all musicians. Slamming beats and furious fills with brutal breakdowns with a single tap switch from intro, verse, chorus, breakdown, fills and outro sections. Big buttons designed for live play-ability and simple design for the zero learning curve. Open with Audiobus play along with other apps and record. The difference between a beat machine and a drum machine is this app loops quality drums recorded by a professional drummer in a studio when drum machines just play single sounds and are computerized, complicated, and lack feel and musicality. For less than a dollar have a beat machine in your pocket with HQ drum loops with natural drum loops in a highly organized structure.
This is a beat machine, a drum machine plays individual sounds that you have to sequence together. We did the hard part so you can focus on making music. I am an indie developer, I don't have a million-dollar ad campaign. I depend on people like you, If you like the app please share. To conclude I'd have to start my review like this: "it's so annoying a Gate", if only Perforator had been a Gate more in the App Store ... but no, Perforator is anything but a Gate more and this is a bit normal since his dad is Bram Bos ... Perforator is a creative tool. An awesome creative tool. Check out the video demo... It's a Gate sure, if you like to use it like this... It's a Rhythmic Arpeggiator too... It's a Killer App! I am a big fan of the SessionBand Apps since a long time now. This one is the first one for Drum only, and I hope this is the first of many.... But let's be optimistic (even if it has been released in 2015), this App is called SessionBand Drum 1... 348 Drum loops, 348 Fills and 348 end hits! 348 loops divided into 8 different music genres. Pop 50 x 3 loops | Rock 10 x 3 loops | Funk / RnB 20 x 3 loops | Jazz 9 x 3 loops | Blues / Country 8 x 3 loops | Latin 9 x 3 loops | Reggae 4 x 3 loop | Odd meter 6 x 3 loops And 116 songs (styles) Before I go any further, I must specify something... I've been talking about loops from the beginning, but they're not really loops. Or at least not as we understand it.... Not stereo loops...... Here we have a track for Kick, Snare, HH, Toms and Overheads Okay, I'll start again.... So three loops per song and three Fills. Okay, another little break for those who think that 3 loops and 3 Fills is not enough for a song.... First of all, each loops last 8 beats, and you have the possibility to modify their lengths. From 8 to 1 beat (Note that a loop set to 1 beat can become a final or break hit. All you have to do is select End instead of fill A, B or C. Second, you can apply the style of one song to another.... Let us take a concrete example. For example, I load Queen's Demo Song We will Rock you. The first pattern plays a Kick, Snare and Tom. If I apply Billy Gene's style on it, my first pattern will now play a Kick, a Snare and a HH... Third, I can choose to play any Fill with any loop... Drum A + Fill C, Drum C + Fill B and so on.... And finally: these are not stereo loops! This means that nothing prevents me from recording the separate instruments from a loop (in my favorite DAW) and adding other solo instruments from another loop. It's up to me to decide if I keep the overheads or not... Oh, I forgot.... This is all the more feasible since I can change the Tempo of each loop and that all SessionBand Apps are Audiobus compatible. Alternatively, of course I can build a song from A to Z with the app as in any SessionBand Apps as well as record my automations... Watch the tutorial video.... I would also make a video and a tutorial for each modules. What I can say right now: To tell you the truth, I thought I didn't like Gadget 2. I'm not a big fan of "all in one" Apps. Closed Apps and often with a logic of their own. Well, actually, Gadget 2 is not really closed, and I could have even said not at all if we had the opportunity to insert an AUV3 Effect plugins on a channel. That's the only regret I have right now. (But it comes with a lot of built in effects that we will check out during my second tutorial.) So I was saying that Gadget was not really a closed app, and this for the following reasons: 1 Taipei, a MIDI out module (see screenshot below) 2 Zurich, an audio file player and recorder (see screenshot below) 3 Rosario, a guitar effects processor (see screenshot below) 4, Durban in bass effects processor (see screenshot below) 5, Some Korg Apps will also become a module if you own them. iMS 20 | iPolysix | Gadgets from Korg module | iM1 | ArpOdyssei | iWavestation | iMonopoly | iElectribe wave (see screenshot below) 6 Gadget 2 can be controlled via MIDI and a learn function is present for most parameters. 7 Gadget 2 is IAA | Audiobus 3 & Ableton Link compatible. I also said that I didn't really like this type of App because they had a logic of their own... In fact,, now, I can understand why I saw so many people posting videos or projects made with Gadget 2... The handling is fast, I would even say super fast considering all the possibilities offered! Unlimited tracks The ability to play only a part of a pattern. Tempo changes, even accelerations and deceleration, & time signature changes are super fast to make.... Copy and paste a pattern from one section to another.... No, really for the IU, there's nothing to say.... Perfect.... I love it... Not kidding!!!! So much, that I transferred the job I am working on from Auria Pro to Gadget 2!!! In Conclusion I never thought that one day I would make a video of more than half an hour on a reverb, and the worst thing is that I could have made one hour more... When I received it and opened it, I immediately saw the Freeze switch... I was happy! Then, the Shimmer.... So beautiful and easy to adjust.... Then I started playing with the most "Flashy" part of TB Reverb: The LFO Tab.... Incredible!!!!! Then the Gate Tab and her one "slaps"! La claque in French ! Then everything else, and all together.... I've been sweating this review for two days. I finished it there, now, and despite everything, I still feel a frustration... I still have a lot to do with it, to discover, to try on a lot of instruments.... TB Reverb, it's not a Reverb. It's a Reverb Channel Strip. It's a Multi Effects... "It's a Jewel!!!! The App is very simple. You push a big button and Fortamento will generate a 4 bars melody with its 4 chords. You will be able to edit this melody and to change the chords as well. You can select a scale (Major or its Relative minor) and change the Tempo. You can select one sound for the melody and another for the chords. You can also send the MIDI out (2 channels, 1 for the Melody and one for the Chords to 2 other Apps). Sure, you can save your melodies and share them as a MIDI file. You can also ask Siri to generate a new melody and even to share it. As I said Fortamento is a very simple App but I like this. I also like the generated melodies... there is still a small thing that I would find nice to have in a future update: it is the possibility to lock the chords when you generate a melody ... Version 1.3 release notesComplex chords support: When editing chords, you can add 4th chord notes to your taste. Audiobus integration: Fortamento can now be configured as MIDI Sender in Audiobus. Navigation between bars while in editing mode: We've added arrow buttons on the top of the editing screen, so you don't need to jump between main and editing screens when editing multiple bars. MIDI output "off" state: In previous version, active MIDI session was displayed in bold font. This was confusing to many, so there's a dedicated "off" state now. Fixed a bug when the first note would be slightly delayed. Other minor algorithm improvements and bug fixes. An Exciter is more than just another "audio enhancer;" it actually extends your high frequencies for a greater perceived loudness without an introduction of noise into the audio path due to increased gain. Vocals and instruments leap out without raising individual volumes in the mix. It can even be used to simulate valve / transister based saturation or overdriven harmonic distortion. I think you all know Aphex's Aural Exciter... I have always been a big "fan" of this effect.... So useful during a Mix. There are several reasons to use it. 1️⃣ The most common reason to use it, is to bring out an instrument in a mix. A mix with many tracks, or a mix with 2 instruments in the same frequencies range... (French Horn, Vocal,...) 2️⃣ To repair a sound: In the days of analog it was very useful. Today less, but we never know... An old tape, a cassette, a bad recording... A very soft, flat sound.... A little Exciter and you're done. (Unlike an Equalizer, an Exciter adds something that doesn't exist or no more or too little... ) 3️⃣ Some 1st, 3rd, 5th harmonics etc. can reinforce a melody... 4️⃣ On the other hand, there is dissonance. 2nd, 4th, 6th, 6th etc. By leveling up the odd ones you can also simulate a transistor Amp. 5️⃣ The third reason is to use it as an Audio input source of an effect. I want for example, a very crystalline reverb on a guitar playing rather in the bass. I send my guitar in an Aux on which I added an Exciter. Behind my Reverb, mix 100 wet. "The 4Pockets Harmonic Exciter allows you to visually see the incoming audio spectrum broken down into frequency bands so that you can immediately see any deficiencies in the mix. You can select a frequency range (whether bass, mid, high or even say a kick drum) and use the 10 harmonic sliders to dynamically synthesize additional harmonics and phase manipulation." On the right is a Low & High Pass filter. Use them to select the range frequencies you like to work with. Once you have enabled the 12 harmics sliders and start playing with them depending on the effect you want. Here again, the visual will help us a lot... 2 modes: Scope or Graphic with 3 different viewing options for each of the 2 modes. An input and output knobs, a gain and a bypass. A Boost switch is also present to add more saturation to your sound. In conclusion. This effect is essential for a sound engineer. This one is totally awesome. The 12 sliders, the visual and the sound quality... I love it! I love it! A Killer App! A Must Have ! Price $6.99 Author 4Pockets.com Type Effect Effect type Exciter Supports Audio Unit Version 1.02 Released 04/09/2019 Updated 04/26/2019 The App Store descriptionHarmonic Exciter is an AUv3 Compatible plugin for your favourite DAW such as Cubasis, Auria, AUM, Meteor, BM3 or GarageBand etc.
The main purpose of a Harmonic Exciter is to help instruments cut through a mix and give some edge and clarity to a sound by adding additional harmonics. It can even be used to simulate valve / transister based saturation or overdriven harmonic distortion. How it works: Every sound under the sun can be constructed by a series of sine waves, the root sine wave denotes the fundamental percieved frequency or the series of waves. By adding additional harmonics which are simply multiples of the fundamental frequency you can turn say a simple sine wave into a square or sawtooth wave. For those who know anything about synthesis you will know these complex waves pack more punch and brightness for the same volume level. So by adding additional harmonics we can lift a sound and make it appear louder, brighter and stand our in our mix. It can also be used to saturate say a bass frequency range boosting bass without needing additional EQ which simple boosts existing harmonics and oftern requires compression to keep under control. This makes the harmonic exciter a great tool for that perfect mix and a nifty trick audio engineers have been using for decades. In Practice: The 4Pockets Harmonic Exciter allows you to visually see the incoming audio spectrum broken down into frequency bands so that you can immediately see any deficiencies in the mix. You can select a frequency range (whether bass, mid, high or even say a kick drum) and use the 10 harmonic sliders to dynamically synthesize of additional harmonics and phase manipulation. Generally it's the 'odd' harmonics that effect a mix in a more melodic way (1st, 3rd, 5th etc.), while even harmonics (2nd, 4th, 6th etc.) tend to be a little discordant or can be used to mimmic distortion of valve amps etc. When adding saturation in this way you can create simulate pleasing overdriven valve/transistor type amplification (transistor amps generally only apply odd harmonics). Why is a Harmonic Exciter better than EQ: While you can boost EQ using a Graphic or Parametric EQ, this only boosts existing harmonics which soon requires compression to avoid clipping. The Harmonic Exciter changes the tonal content of a sound to saturate without adding the same boost in volume. The result is more punch and an ability to cut through the mix without levels getting out of control. You can often get a more natural and aurally pleasing saturation from this kind of effect than using a dedicated oversdrive effects. If your DAW supports MIDI based effects you can also control certain features via CC controllers or using the pitch bend and mod wheel (or CC's 20, 21 and 22 to control the exciter window, gain and size).
