URC is really awesome. The App Store description is totally honest and explain everything better than I can do. So, this is the App Store description. In bold characters my comments... The Ultimate Rhythm Coach is your own personal teacher and the best rhythm-training tool that’s always at your fingertips! Yes, it's true, URC is really awesome because it comes with a lot of features that you will never see in another App. The Ultimate Rhythm Coach is full of settings and features designed to make your learning experience easier and better while also providing nearly infinite new ways to challenge yourself. I also think that URC can be a great tool for music teachers.... The Ultimate Rhythm Coach uses traditional music notation, and with it you can create customized rhythm exercises or simply generate an exercise using only the notes and note groupings you want to practice. You can even create and save custom rhythmic figures to include in generated exercises! So easy! So fast! Unique to the Ultimate Rhythm Coach is the ability to program your own metronome completely independent of the exercise’s time signature. First of the first awesome feature that I have never seen in another App... Exercises can be saved, printed, and shared via email, SMS, messengers, and social media. Features include: Visual Read Ahead: The exercise will disappear at the specified distance (in 16th-note increments) ahead of the cursor to develop the ability to "read ahead". Second Unique feature... A great idea! Loop Areas: Isolate selected portions of an exercise to repeat. Mute Areas: Turn off the audio for selected portions of an exercise to test your timing accuracy. Third one, and one more time a great idea! Easy Notation input / edit: Unlike a lot of notation software, entering and editing notation with URC is user-friendly. Advanced Metronome: Compose a metronome that is independent of the exercise. Program a syncopated 7/8 click to play underneath your 4/4 exercise! Multiple Time Signatures in one exercise: Easily create mixed-meter exercises. Tuplets: Create complex polyrhythmic figures in subdivisions of 3, 5, and 7 Hide Playback Cursor: Challenge your ability to follow along without the aid of the playhead. Good idea... Hide Bar Lines: A unique challenge to test your ability to accurately read rhythm without the reference of bar lines. Too... Count-Off options: Select a 0, 1, or 2-bar count-off, or 1 bar each of the Basic and Advanced metronomes. Visual Metronome: An option to have the screen flash in time with the metronome. Exercise Library: Save your created exercises or practice with one of the many pre-loaded exercises. Sound Bank: Change the sound of the metronome and the exercise playback. Audio Pan: Pan the exercise and metronome independently to R/L channels. To conclude, URC is really awesome, very very well think. It can be use by all musicians from beginners to experts. By music teachers too. A Killer App! A Must Have! Review by Ed & the developer
