Until I read the name of developer team...

Why this App can be used by musicians?
First, as I said above because it supports IAA...
Secondly, because you can set the scales and the root note of your creation (12 scales are available)
The really cool thing here is that the changes you made for the scale or the root note note will affect the future layers that you will create only (see below), so we can be able to create complex harmony.
And to finish, because it has been created by musicians...
So?
So the sounds are great, and match perfectly together

How this App works?
On the bottom right corner a little icon... Tap it to select a sound and new layer.
Then tap your screen to play and record the layer.
With as many fingers as you like and you have...
10 max for humans...
By selecting another sound a new layer will be created.
So 30 layers...
You can save and add note to your or I should say the COSM création as you want and save it to your daily journal.
Later you will be able to write over (Overdubs) your saved files.
An undo button is also available.
That's all!

Cosm lets you quickly and easily create your own ambient soundscape to relax and refocus. We believe music and creativity have an important role to play in improving our minds and souls.

People are using Cosm to help with:

# How it works
Cosm combines concepts from cognitive psychology and a style of 'minimalist music' pioneered by composers such as Steve Reich & Brian Eno. You simply tap or swipe to create melodies that combine to create an ever evolving soundtrack to immerse your mind.

Inspired by organic tones such as gongs and the sounds of the natural world, the sonic palette has been carefully crafted to be atmospheric and calming. Each layer of sound evolves over time creating a non-linear piece of music that is both relaxing and captivating.

Once you’ve created your soundscape, save it to your journal along with notes for future listening and self reflection.

Cosm was created as part of a collaboration between brothers Jonah Fox (Electroacoustic Composer), Alex Fox (Technologist/Producer) with guidance from Dr Chris Howard (Computational Psychology MIT).
