I can not play a A Chord with 3 fingers at the first position on my guitar… I say this just to let you imagine what it can be when I try to play on a Piano keyboard with my iPad... I remember when the first Chord’s Controller App was released, how happy I was. To play a melody? Still a big nightmare! Last year, I saw that an App released in the App store could certainly solve my problem… Clawtar - Adaptive MIDI Controller. This week, I asked the developer to send me a redeem code and he do it kindly. 2’ after it was installed in my iPad. 35” after, I was playing piano like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. (Or his very very far cousin…). Clawtar is unique in the App Store. It’s an adaptive keyboard. When you open the App, a black screen. You put your 2 hands on your iPad, you move your fingers to find the best fingers position, you release your 2 hands and the 2 hands keyboard are ready to be played, Awesome! With the right hand, you play your melody, set the volume and select the root note , with the left hand, you set the octave (4 octaves), select 1 of the 3 note’s order layout, control the pitch bend, and the modulation wheel. It works so well and so fast that you can change your keyboard shape in 5 second to accord it with the part you have to play… Clawtar can control another App via Midi but comes also with an internal Synthesizer (8 sounds). Clawtar is unique, so useful, so very well developed… A Killer App! a Must Have!
