Tabla Drum Loops is not my favourite App from this developer for 2 reasons that I would like to explain. First, there are a lot of Tabla loops Apps in the App Store, with a lot of loops. Here 12 only. The other reason is that there is no BPM indication in this App like in all the others Apps of this developer, but here it is more a problem for me, because all the loops has been recorded at a different Tempo. So, or you use only one loop, or you will have to time stretch all the loops that you like to use. Despite this the sound quality is very good. I love the loop number 12. A Good App! Review by Ed

Before to start this review, I had to confess something. I still not really understand what is the Grunge. Sure, I can recognise a Grunge people in the street because of his look, but for the music... So, because of this, it's hard for me to tell you if the loops inside this App are Grunge or not... Particular or not. Rock, yes. Laid back, yes. So, here 15 loops. 1 stick count 1,2 - 1,2,3,4 / 7 breaks / 7 rhythms The sound quality is great as usual with this developer excepted for the loop number 13. A little bit distorted... You can set the Tempo but no info about the BPM as usual with this developer. You can set the volume too... As usual with this developer too. A very good App.
Review by Ed I added a policy to this website this week… in this policy, I say that my rating is 100 per cent subjective. Yes, because I am a human with a life, a past and a future, (I hope…) and my own taste! When I was sixteen, I was a Punk, not for a long time because I had to follow Robert (Smith) and Siouxsie (Sioux). So, I became a New Wave. In France, if you are saying this… wahoo..... French people used to say that the 80’s was the worst time for music… and I am totally disagree with this… The Cure! U2! Depeche Mode! Couteau Twins! Echo & the Bunnymen! Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Cult! The Sister of Mercy! The Mission! Joy Division!, etc.. Without New Wave, no Massive Attack, no Placebo, Muse, Radiohead, even Daft Punk and Air.... But France is France... and if you love Rock Music, you can easily find a better place in this Galaxy. Did you know that in France at this time, it was forbidden to sing in English… But France had and still have to protect the most fabulous language from Earth, the Galaxy and the Univers too... Before the sixties in France there was Edith Piaf, George Brassens, Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, Serge Gainsbourg… La Chanson Française… Top! Serge Gainsbourg! if you don’t know this man.... You can listen to the most erotica song never composed in our Galaxy: (tap): Je t’aime moi non plus with Jane Birkin (previously the wife of John Barry) (Placebo made a cover of one of his song too…). With the sixties, started in France the copy time. Claude François a copy machine, Johnny Hallyday a copy of Elvis, Telephone a copy of the Stone, etc… and this, until the released of the first album of Daft Punk! The French touch. If you need to laugh (a lot), you can check out this video…(tap, if you are not at your office) Desirless: the most famous New Wave artist from France… (no social or political claim in this song… not a New Wave track too but a haircut...) To conclude: 18 Drum loops in a Zipper colour UI. Audio quality: Perfect. A slider to change the speed, but no BPM indication.: A Killer App! A Must Have if, when you are listening to a big fat floor Tom, you feel younger and happy! A note: The Clash should be among the best bands of the Univers, and today I am really sad when I see that they totally disappear... I made a test, here, in Bangkok, in a big night Market after a show... I played Bankrobber... You know what? All the Market started to sing! my daddy was a bankrobber but he never hurt nobody he just loved to live that way and he loved to steal your money It was so magic, incredible and so cool! 24 loopsin this App. More than enough to create a Drum track for a song. The audio quality is really good as usual with this developer. Also, I don’t know who played the drum… but sure that he is a Killer Drummer… not so easy to find... in the App Store and in the real world too. The Style? Rock, Rock Hard, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal,… I don’t know, this depends of your age and the place you live in this Galaxy… the App allows you to change the speed of a loop unfortunately there is no BPM indication. The stretching feature is good but not awesome, so, the best to do is to let the speed slider at its default position and use the Time Stretching of your favourite Daw (once you will have recorded them by using the Audiobus or the Inter App feature.) Same as you do when you are using Samples. So it’s absolutely not annoying… to conclude: a very good sound quality, a Killer Drummer in a very good App. A Super App! A Must Have for Composers!
Review by Ed 2 days or 3 days ago, I made the review of PowWow Loops. Today, it’s the turn of Raggea Loops… ...every time after that I have posted the review of an App, I send a message to the developer… so I did it for PowWow Loops… the developer wrote me that he was a little bit ashamed of this App… and this is really weird for me because there are few loops that I really love in this App… and few is great… I don’t know now, but I remember the time when I had to buy an Audio loops CD for 650 Francs,100€, because of one loop that I really loved… I said that it was weird for me, because I prefer the PowWow Loops App than this one. Not because of the Audio quality of the loops but because of the originality of them… yes, it’s harder to find a good PowWow loop that a reggae loop. The style is the only difference between these 2 Apps, the number of loops too. Here, 15. 15 loops to be able to create a song. 1 intro, 2 breaks, 6 verses, 3 fills, 1 snare and 1 outro. The sound quality is very good, no BPM setting for all the Apps from this developer… A very good App! Francesco leaved a comment of the YouTube video... You can check it out.. Audiobus / IAA / Stand Alone... Review by Ed 21 Pow Wow loops in this App. Rhythm & voice loops. The sound quality is really great, which is not so usual for this kind of audio loops. The App is Audiobus compatible, so it is easy to record a loop into another App. It is also possible to change the Tempo, unfortunately the BPM is not displayed. This is the only defect of this App… to conclude: 21 Killer loops in a good App… A Super App!
