A Drum Pads. 8 Pads. 12 Drum kits and more... First, the sound quality: I love the Drum Kits especially the Kicks and the Snares (Real Kit, Real Kit with Ride, Real Kit with Rimshot, Pop Kit, Rock Kit, Chemical, Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Classic Rock and the Funk Kit ... Really... a little bit less for the Dance/Club because of the delay on the Snare, and not really the Percussion kit... Once you have selected a Kit, you can assign the instrument you like into a desired Pad. Twice and more if you like... This can be really useful because of the Autoplay feature... A clever Autoplay feature... Check out the tutorial below. You will also benable to set the volume independently for each Pad. (Note that the Pad will play louder if you tp its center). I forgot,... The Open HH will close if you tap the Close HH... Cool ! Also you can play along a song from your Music Library. You will be able to record your performances and share them via Audiocopy, emails, the Open in feature and more,... You can send them to the developer server. Your recording will be ready to play and download for everyone who will receive the link Here is a link where I played with all the kits: http://rhythmpad.com/rec/5a4eb7c698ac6 To finish, you can use Rhythm Pad Pro as a MIDI Controller via Wi-Fi or the Camera connection kit. To conclude now: I love the sound. I love the Autoplay feature. In the Drum Pads category, there is a few Apps very powerful.. For this reason only I can not say that Rhythm Pad Pro is a Killer App, a Must Have but despite this, it's a real Super App and with a little a bit more like the Core MIDI, the possibility to import our own samples... A Super + App!

This is the tutorial 4 / The Sample page Wahoo! Awesome! One thing that I really really love is the Slices to Pads (Create Pattern) feature! Check out the video demo! Also, the Mapping page is great... Fast and easy to understand. As usual you will be able to insert a lot of plugins to a layer or a Pad. Also use the ADSR or AHD... The recorder and the "Move to next Pad" feature is great! BeatMaker is very powerful. Certainly the most powerful DAW from the App Store. A lot of features, but once you know them, it's easy to navigate inside Beatmaker 3. Next Tutorial the Audio Track.
Edit Sample Page Here you will be able to edit your Audio files. First, you will have to select the Layer and the associated audio file. By a Tap on the Edit button, your audio will be displayed in full screen mode. Edit function: Trim audio (zero to Snap / Snap to grid / no Snap) Copy / Paste Fade in & out / Silence / Time Stretching / Reverse / Stereo to mono Playing mode: No loop / Normal Play / Alternated Live Stretch & disc streaming Slice: Auto Slice Delete, copy & paste Slice Slices to Pads / Create Pattern Here is an awesome feature! In 2 minutes you will be able to slice an audio file (split or Grid), then to send all the slices to Pads and create a pattern too! Check out the video demo. Slice to Single or Multiple layers / Slices to Apple Loop Record Here also a great feature. You can auto assigned a new recording to the next Pad, in Synthesizer mode or not! ADSR OR AHD / 9 EQ Filters for each layers Layers Fx For each layer: Overdrive / SV Filter / Invert Phaser & Bit Crusher Modulations 1 more ADSR OR AHD per layer / the re trigger switch / Layer Gain & Tune setting Mapping I love this page. So easy to map your Sample on the keyboard! Plugin
You can insert an Audiobus, Audio Unit or IAA plugin to a Pad (More with Audiobus, AUM,... Check out below) 64 step sequencer / 99 save slots / 4 Drum Tracks / 4 Multi-touch Pads / 3 Signal generators per voice; Noise, Click and Tone / Frequency modulation (on pads 3 and 4) / Amplitude modulation (on pads 1 and 2) / Delay unit (with infinite looping capabilities) / EQ on each Tracks / 5 send effects (distortion, delay, reverb, bit crush, chores/flanger) / 2 master out effects (Soft clip, 4-pole low-pass filter) / Mixer. DrumSynth is an “old” App now. When it was released there was not so many Drum Machine Synthesizer in the App Store like we have now. It's still a good App, a very good one because of the generated sound more than the available features. Only 4 tracks, no Midi, no Song Mode…
Review by Ed BeatHawk is a 16 tracks Drum Machine, or Soundboard, or DrumPads, or Sequencer or a Workstation. The App is so well done that you can use it as you like. So well done that the Audio Unit version allows you to do exactly the same things that you can do with the Stand Alone version. Note that it is not so usual... On the main window, 16 Pads. On their left side, a Volume button: Tap it and play the selected Pad (track) with the 16 Pads. Each Pads come with a different volume setting (from 7 to 127). A Mute button allows you to Mute all the desired Pads. The Scale window turns BeatHawk into a real sequencer because of its two one octave keyboards. Yes, unlike a lot of Drum Machines, here you can play chords, select a scale and the root note as well. Top! A little further down, the Erase button, the Select and the Repeat (Pad) button. On the other side, the Edit window where you can load a Sample from the Library (you can also import your own samples from here),.set the pan, pitch, and gain of the selected Pad. Also, a Delay, a Reverb, a LP and HP Filter send slider. (The parameters for these 4 FXS can be found in preferences menu). A Record window where you can record the input signal, an ADSR window, a Sample window where you can Trim and Stretch a sample. The Pattern window where you can select a Pattern, copy it and paste it, set its length from 1 bar to 16 bars, and the shortcut to jump to the sequencer. Here also a great feature... depending of the way you are using BeatHawk, or the track you like to edit you can switch ftom a conventional sequencer (select a track and the grid editor will display the note's pitch on the vertical axis) or the "Drum Machine" sequencer where all the tracks are display on the grid. The song mode is really great too and here also a great feature which allows you to mute or not a track from a Pattern. In summary, BeatHawk is more than very well done... BeatHawk is very, very, very well done. Very very easy to use. You can automated all the parameters. The Audio Unit version is awesome and impressed me a lot... Before to say the magic quote, I have to talk about the online Store. so many Packs there.. so many kinds of packs... middle east, asia, vintage keynoards, piano,..(Check out the last section of the tutorial below). So, it's time to say the magic quote now: A Killer App, a Must Have!
Drum On is still available in the App Store. The quality of the samples was really great. 2 months after my review the Audiobus feature was added. Despite this, I don't think that it's a good idea to buy this App actually. The last update was released in December 2013... Published on 9 May 2013 Drum on: Drum until your dreams come true... Before I start this review, I have to make a little correction to the App Store description... Drum on is not a Drum Machine, but a Drum Pad... The sound quality is perfect, the sample length is too. The latency seems to be close to 0... You can choose to display 8, 12 or 16 Pads on the screen. You can set the Volume, the Pan individually for each Pad. Unfortunately you can't create a custom kit.. You can add Delay, Reverb or distortion on the Master out, and change the order of the effects in series, which is really cool. Note that a specific bus for the effects would be better... You can also import a track from your Music library, loop a section and change the speed. A metronome is also available. To conclude... Drum on has a really great sound, certainly one of the best sample qualities on the App Store in the Drum Pad and Drum Machine categories with iGog... The App is very very well done, but at this time it's missing some features like the possibility to record and share your performances to make it as a Killer Drum Pad, but is only the 1.0 version... So, I suppose that it will be in a future update... A Super Drum Pad. App Store description:

The v2.0 wad released in June of this year, so no problem, Drum Space is still in the hand of the developer team. Published on 23 Sep 2013 The new app from Mark Carlotto... This developer team used to release a lot of Apps on the App Store. Most of the time, the Apps are really innovative and interesting... Sometimes less so, and sometimes great! Here, we have One App! A Killer DrumPad! Unique! Very inspired by Drums by Arosbot (For those who know this incredible DrumPad). You have a big work space. You can add as many Pads as you like. Select a sound from a big Library. Set the dimension of your Pad, the Volume, Attack, Release, Pitch, Delay, Decay, and LPF. And? ? You will be able to control the Blending of the Drum's sound across the Pads... Awesome... The big Oups... No record feature, no Audiobus... (CoreMidi) But... I like the Idea so much, and to motive the developer, I'm rating it as a Killer App! App Store description : Drum Space is a totally new kind of percussion app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod/Touch. Most drum apps simply map drum sounds (samples) to pads that look like drums. Few take advantage of the full touch sensitive surface of the iPad and other iOS devices. Drum Space maps drum and percussion sounds to a 16x10 array of control pads placed in a 2-D "sound space" - left, right, foreground, and background. The sound space is a rendered as a colored "palette" of sound that can be played either by tapping the pad on the device or by MIDI control. Over 170 high quality drum and percussion samples are included along with a number of sample drum setups to get you started. There are almost literally an infinite number of ways to arrange and play the instrument. WerkBench is an Audio Sequencer. An unconventional one... 2 independent Docks. For each Docks, 4 Patterns (16 steps). The 2 Docks can be played in sync or in chain mode. 4 or 8 Patterns. A loop can be set independently for each. Its length too, so you can can create Polyrhythm patterns. For each step a Sample can be recorded via the built in microphone of your iDevice or Audiobus. For each step an automation can be set for Level, Pan, Attack, Decay, High Pass, Low Pass, Pitch, Crunch, Echo and Reverb. The delay allows you to save 1 step... I explain: if you record a kick to the step one, then, set the Delay Time (in sync mode) to 4. Your Kick will play the steps 1, 5, 9 and 13. The Delay & Reverb can be applied to the 2 Docks independently. For each Docks, a Filter, a Waveform selection with an Attack, Decay and Release parameters. A switch allows you to apply your settings to the selected pattern or all. You can easily copy or mute a Pattern or a step. You can also import a backing track or record it via Audiobus. A Trigger mode allows you to play your samples by a Tap on a step or via a midi controller. This was for the technical side. Now, let's talk about playing with it. WerkBench is a creative tool... its purpose is not to create a drum pattern as you would with a Drum Machine.. No, here the principle is rather to record sounds with your voice, another or several other Apps and create an original pattern, quickly while having a lot of fun. I really really love this App: a Killer App, a Must Have!
Review by Ed Samplebot, the new App from A Tasty Pixel! A Tasty Pixel = Loopy HD! A looper that I am using with my 2 pedalboards every time that I have to play on stage… So, Samplebot is also a looper, a 15 tracks looper. ... no, it’s not exact, it’s not a looper even if it can be use as this because of its Midi implementation. The same that you find in Loopy & Loopy HD with the add Binding & Action feature witch allows you to control it with an external App or hardware. Check out the tutorial below. So, if it’s not a looper what is Samplebot? A Drum Pad! Yes, it’s a Drum Pad! . no, it’s not a Drum Pad because it comes with any sound excepted the Kick, the Snare and the HH that can be loaded from the funny and helpful introductory tutorial (if you are not able to record them with your voice). Note that you can plug Samplebot in the Audiobus Audio output Slot and record the input signal of another App or hardware. So, if it’s not a Drum Pad it can not be Drum Machine even if it comes with a Sequencer. A Sequencer with a feature that comes from the Tasty Pixel Galaxy. A feature that we have never seen in our Galaxy before: The rhythmic template… (if you look at the Pads page, the 3 first Pads are white. They belong to the Drum group. In the Sequencer page, you select a rhythmic template and you paste it to the sequencer… in half a second Samplebot plays a Rhythm that you will be able to edit after like all the other tracks. Check out the videos demos. So, if it's not a Looper, a Drum Pad, a Drum Machine what is Samplebot? A Robot? ... yes it's a robot which comes from the Tasty Pixel Galaxy. A robot that can help you to create a Drum Track, a Song, in a record time and fun! A robot that you can beat to play Drums too. A robot who can be use as a looper too. It’s the 1.0 version of Samplebot, a lot of new feature will be add in the future, but it’s already an awesome App, a Killer App!
Drum-O-Rama HD is unique in the App Store! A Drum Pads App that works like no others, and because of this, it can become a little Drum Machine… 1 pattern Drum Machine. First 12 banks of sounds: Kick - Snare - Conga - Cymbals-Middle Eastern Drums - DJ embedded - Street Sounds - Song Loops - Tabla - Timbale- Toms and Trap More than 1 hundreds samples! You can create your own set or modify one. You can add as many Pad as you like to a set.. Set will be saved automatically. If you move a Pad to the left or the right, the Pan will follow… you can add a Pad inside another one to play both, or more Pads if Ou like at the same time. You can set the size of each Pads, six levels are available… you can also changef the sound of each instruments: Volume, Pitch. Reverb Delay, Decay and LPF. At this moment, it’s cool but we have some Drum Pads App like this in the App Store… so, now, the big differences with the other Drum Pads Apps. You can set a sequence for each Pad… 1 to 8 steps / 1/4, 1/8,1/12’ 1/16, and 1/24… so, when you will tap a Pad it will be able to play a sequence that you have prebiously programmed. This is really cool, if you want to play a Fill with one Tap! If you like, you can also decided to loop this sequence.. It means that if you have set a sequence for each Pad, you will have a 1 pattern Drum Machine! A killer App! a Must Have for Virtual Drummers!
Review by Ed PRFORM - 9 Synths 16 Pads PRFORM - 9 Synths 16 Pads and a 4 tracks looper PRFORM - 9 Synths 16 Pads and a 4 tracks looper / with – Delay – Reverb – Chorus – Clip – Bit-Crusher PRFORM - 9 Synths, 16 Pads trigger-able via MIDI and Audiobus Remote, a 4 tracks looper / with – Delay – Reverb – Chorus – Clip – BBit crushed PRFORM - 2 leads synths, 1 bass synth and pad synth + 5 synth drum modules (bass, clap, snare, hi-hat, and noise) / 16 Pads trigger-able via MIDI and Audiobus Remote, a 4 tracks looper / with – Delay – Reverb – Chorus – Clip – BBit crushed As you can see, I have changed a little bit the name of this App… Perhaps a little bit too long, but at the same time, it’s a good description of what this App can do. Now, for who this App is, and what can you do whit it? For who? For everyone, even people who don’t know music or synthesisers, everybody can have fun with it. First because the App is very easy to use and secondly because of the 9 dedicated synthesisers. Yes, and I need to explain why a little bit… for example, if you want to change the kick sound, you can set all the parameters as you like, no problem, a kick will be play, same for the snare, the Super Saw and all the other synths. What can we do with it? Record an idea on the go. PRFORM doesn’t use samples, because of this it doesn’t use a lot of room in your iDevice… Use it for live performances as a Soundboard which can be controlled with an external keyboard. As a little Drum Machine. As a Drone… In fact you can find a lot of way to use it… In Summary: PRFORM is very well done, and very easy to use, despite of this, it is not so easy to rate it… I am a Pro musician and because of this I can have some frustrations with it… why can I play only 3 bass notes, 4 super saw notes, 5 drum instruments,…. This can be a little bit frustrating…. So, why not à Pro Version of PRFORM with the ability to set he number of Pads for 1 Synth as we like? With the ability to copy a Pad from a Preset to another? … a Super App!
