Studiotrack is a 8 tracks recorder. It’s a very old App now, but when it was released it was a revolution with the Audio Copy Paste feature. The App is still developed but no real changes since the first release., (last update: November 6th of this year). Unfortunately no significant changes since its release, which makes this App a little bit obsolete today without the Audiobus, IAA or Audio Unit feature. Without the Ableton Link too. So, StudioTrack is a 8 tracks recorder. No edit. A Pan, a, Gain, a Mute, a Solo and a Reverb send per track. You can record only 1 track at once. You can insert 1 or 2 effects per track depending of the effect you will choose. 2 slots are available for them. The Compressor and the 1 Band EQ use 1 slot each, the Delay and the 4 bands EQ use 2 slots each. The processing quality is good but there are some little annoying things here… for the EQ, you can not set the Q. For the stereo Delay a link switch will be great to have. One positive thing is that you can route the input signal to Guitar Tone or the Taylor EQ. (Taylor EQ is a Free App). I will post the review of these two Apps shortly. The Master channel comes with a Compressor, a 4 bands EQ and a Reverb. The metronome can play loops too, a feature really great a long time ago but today… In summary StudioTrack was a Killer App a long, long time ago… today,… I don’t know how to rate it… the App is good, but at least the IAA feature will be great to have. So,… StudioTrack needs some improvements. Review by Es
