I really love this App, because of its ease to use and a lot of great features that you can use offline...
Great for musicians who have to spend most of their time in the basements of our cities.
So, Writers Session is made for Songwriters. It comes with an Audio Recorder & Player which allows you to record all the ideas you can have from the moment you are starting to write your lyrics to the end. You can also import a track from your iTunes music library and share all your recordings via Air Drop or emails. When you create a project, you will have to enter your song title and more infos if you like: writers credits, royalty splits, publishing details, Tempo, key and more. These can be displayed and also be exported as a PDF file.
Your keyboard will come with a new menu bar on the top. There you will find all the text tools: Font, Font size, text colour, background text colour, align center, left,... Bullets, number, bold, italic, underline,...
In this bar also, a Rhymes dictionary (not a gadget...) (rhymes are sorted by the number of syllables in a word), a Thesausus and a Dictionary. They all work offline!
Also, a Section tool (Stanza), a Phrase and Word section sorted by mood where you can also add yours own Phrases and words. A Chord section which allows you to add quickly the Chords of your song. A tags and a Scratchpad sections. The Fullscreen mode is cool while you are practicing with your band.
3 color themes are also available. A metronome too. (In App purchases)
To conclude: an App very easy to use, very well done. You don't have to learn it, you don't to have to remember how it works each time you open it... It's great for Songwriters who like to write fast an idea on the go... You don't have to save your song too. Simply open the App, use the scratchpad to add an idea to a song, use the phrases or words section to store something that comes in your head, the recorder to save a melody... Later, when you will have time to work on your song, enjoy all the tools that this App offers to you.
A Killer App, a Must Have for Songwriters!
