Review update 2 I also forgot 2 things... 1) you can save the preset also by a Press and hold on the Preset name... Check out the first image of the tutorial below.... 2) you can also record an Automation! (Check out the Top Class! And More post... So, definitely FAC Chorus is perfect, it miss nothing... For the third time... FAC Chorus is a Killer App! A Must Have for guitar players and sound engineers... next review update in 1 hour... :-) In this review, I made a big, no a very big mistake.... You can save your own Presets! So, all my apologies to the developer! And because of this, I do,'t know what new feature can be add to make FAC Chorus better than today... As I will say at the end of this review and more now since I corrected my mistake. FAC Chorus is a Killer App! A Must Have for guitar players and sound engineers! Fac Chorus is a? Chorus! Yes, you win! When you look at the UI it looks like a real 19 inch rack Chorus… And when you listen to the processed signal, you also believe that you have a real physical Chorus… when you start to set some parameters, you also think the same… there are not so many Chorus App in the App Store… And most of the time, they can do much more than a Chorus… And sometimes too much more… I mean when you only want to add a “simple’ Chorus to a guitar, it can be a little bit boring to remember how an App works, how you can bypass a filter or a resonator, or else…. Also most of all our DAW come with a Chorus, but most of the time they are very “Simple".. Too much… here we have an easy to use Chorus… the best is to start from one of the built in preset. FAC Chorus is “normal” Chorus that can generated also versatile chorus effect with an usual physical interface. And this is really cool… now, there are 3 things that you will not find in this App… the IAA and the Audiobus features… I don't think that it’s a big problem because Fac Chorus is Audio Unit compatible and all the Pro DAW must have to be Audio Unit compatible. The third thing is that you cannot save a preset. This can be a little bit more annoying… only the last state will be realiseded after that you re launch the App again. This is the only defect of Fac Chorus but I am sure that the developer will add this feature in a future update. So, to conclude. Fac Chorus is a Killer App! A Must Have for guitar players, sound engineers too!
For my video demo, I used one of my favourite tune. Merry Christmas Mister Lawrence. This version is interpreted by Kaori Mura, and Riuychi Sakamato himself! Here is the link of the video:: https://youtu.be/ZA-NjYpRn34 Review by Ed

So weird to make a Flashback with AUFX: Dub.... So incredible the number of update since this old review... I didn't realise this because my iPad automatically update the Apps... So sure that nobody will read this post, because you all already have this App... If not... No, impossible.... You have it. Everybody has this App! A Must Have, a Killer App... Published on 29 Sep 2013 AUFX: Dub is simply great! Audiobus, AudioCopy, Virtual Midi (to receive CC from your favourite sequencer), built in recorder... Watch the Demo video! (Each time that I launch the App I check out the AUFXS Series Menu to check that I haven't missed a new release... Unfortunately not... :-) (AUFX: Dub is a Stereo Delay. Here are some of the available features. (All the features at the end of this Post)• 32-bit DSP engine. • Tape simulation (noise and warble).• Filters in the delay loop for typical dub sound.• Stereo delay, stereo detune, ping-pong delay. • Process other apps through Inter-App Audio or Audiobus (input/effect/output slots supported). • Save, load and share user presets. • Fully MIDI controllable, including Virtual MIDI. • Background Audio. • Built-in lookahead limiter to prevent clipping. • Record the result directly in app. • Email recordings or export to AudioShare audio document manager app. 131

So, a dynamic effect… as all the dynamic effects it can be dangerous to use for people who don’t really know how to use them, or the “good” way to use them… but Korvpressor is so simple to use, that it’s a good option for beginners. Wait! If I am saying this, you will certainly think that this compressor is not for professional sound engineers… but, no! I never said this! Korvpressor is great for both… the quality of processing is great, but it is so easy to use! An input, a Squeeze, and an Output. 3 handles to drag up or down… the Squeeze is the Compression value. Set to the max (down), it will start to Pump (a little bit) your input signal. 3 rotary knobs for the Bass, Mid and High frequency are also available. Cool! Another switch named Lookahead will add a little delay to your output signal. Note that I am not totally sure of the real purpose of this switch… I think that it reduces the CPU usage of your iDevice… (for this reason, the little delay…). I made a test with a Mix, Drums, guitar and vocal, and every time Korvpressor made a great Job! Note that on an entire Mix, you can easily use it as a Maximiser… in summary, Korvpressor is a Must Have for everyone because of its great UI, because you will not destroy your signal with it, because the quality of processing. A Killer App!
Review by Ed 2 weeks ago, I made the review of RF-1. A Reverb, but not only… today, I am making the review of RP-1 a delay, but not only… The UI is separated in 2 sections. On the top the “First” delay with 6 rotary knobs. A High and Lowpass, a Feedback, a Time, a Mix and a Spread which allows you to control the effect stereo field. On the right side, a sync switch (RP -1 comes with the Ableton Link feature). When enable you will be able to control the delay Time with Clock subdivision instead of time. (Cool!) Below a Loop switch will set the Time at which the input signal is delayed and to finish a Bypass (for this section). The second section is The Mod Section. The first knob on the left side allows you to select one of 7 different algorithms: Chorus, Vibrato, Flanger, Panner, Phaser, Tremolo & Delay. As you can see, you have another delay here… A Panner too which is really great because of the lack of Auto Panner in the App Store… The 3 other knobs: Feedback, Amount and Frequency. On the Right side, a Pre and a Post switch. A Bypass for this section too. To conclude, RP-1 is a Multi Fx. 2 can be used at the same time. The quality of processing is great. Some effect like the Vibrato, the Tremolo and the Panner are not very widespread in the App Store, so… A Killer App, a Must Have!
Review by Ed Zen Musical Harmonizer ZMH-1 is a vocal/instrument harmonizer app. ZMH-1 has four different ways to interact with harmony (one at a time): **Playable Harmonizer--Play different chord buttons (Major, Major 6, Major 7, minor, minor 6, minor 7) to transform your one note into harmony in real time. **Pseudo-Smart Harmonizer--Reads your monophonic input signal (guitar, voice, etc.) and generates the correct harmony notes based on the chosen key. **Shifter--Shift your signal with a choice of intervals. **Octave--Makes your signal sound huge with up-to-five octaves per single note played or sung. ZMH-1 is ready to be used in the studio and on stage. Use it with "real" music gear or alongside your other iOS music creation apps. It supports: **Audiobus (Third-Party App) **Inter-App Audio **Landscape Orientation **Stereo **Pan Knob For Each Channel **Volume For Each Channel Make your harmony a Zen experience. Requires headphones. Use either a microphone or instrument adapter. Audio will stop when screen locks. Go to Settings-->General-->Auto-Lock and choose Never for uninterrupted audio. This is the App Store description. The Harmonizer effect is certainly the most difficult effect to develop… I am not a developer so if say this it’s because of all the Harmonizer effects that I know, from the App Store and in the real life too. I don’t know an Harmonizer witch can produced a perfect realistic voice, even the best from TC… when you use it in a mix, it it can make the joke (I don’t know if English people uses this expression…. In French, it means: it works). Here, for my review I had to use ZMH-1 not in a mix, but alone,… and it’s not really kind to do this to an Harmonizer… so, I would like to apology to all the Harmonizer effects from the Earth and this galaxy too. There are 4 modules in this App. With the higher notes transposition, Mickey Mousse travel from his galaxy to your iPad faster than the wind. With the Bass transposition, Dark Vader can join the party faster than the speed of light… so, If you're not careful, your studio session can turn into an inter galactic party… if you wish this, no problem with ZMH-1 as for most of all Harmonizers, it will make the joke. in these 4 modules, there is one that I really love. It’s the Shifter… Until-12 semitones, it works very well, in the opposite side, higher transposition, Minnie Mousse will join the party too. At the start of the video demo, I try it on a Drum to create a Ring Modulator effect like. It works very well. How can I rate it now? OK, it’s not the best Harmonizer effect of the Galaxy. but it's a very good App. It depends of what you want to do with. If you want to create some cartoon voices, perfect. If you want to add some harmony to your voice, you will have to set the wet mix not too high.. If you want to use it with other instruments to add formants to your sound, perfect too… if you want to have a voice like Gnarls Bartkley, awesome! (The Shifter) And because of this module and because sure that I will use it, I will say that ZMH-1 is a Super App! Watch the video demo…
Review by Ed Since the A4i reveiews, 3 good news, and 1 bad news. The good news are: 1) GrainProc continues to be updated 2) Now, you have 2 granular effects, the orange and the blue one. The bad news is that GrainProc is no more Free. $2.99 The third good news, is that GrainProc is better now that in the Past and is still a Killer App! Apps4idevices review: GrainProc is a little granular synth effect. The App is really simple but..., I really love its UI which make it so easy to use. The Audiobus feature (effect slot) which make it really interesting to use with another App. (Watch the Video Demo). I also really love its price: 0€ without ad! So, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to let it on the App Store Cloud. A mini Killer mini granular Synth mini effect for Free! A BIG thanks to the developer! Features: • 2 Granular synthesizers running in parallel • Waveform representation of the sound allowing you to touch where you want the sound source to be • Sliders to control dry volume, wet volume, feedback level, and grain density • Visual level monitors of the dry, wet and feedback levels • Simple enough to be used with your feet! We discourage using your device with your feet, though it has been used that way for public performances! I bought a lot of Reverb in the App Store… I also have a lot of Reverb in Auria Pro… in my iPad, I have Aufx Space, I love its “neutral” colour, and the quality of processing. I also have AudioReverb. I love to use it like an Effect, I mean when I want a huge Reverb, when I want that people can ear it… and now I have also RF-1… when I tried it for the first time, it was on a Drum channel. The preset loaded was Concert Hall. At the moment I pushed the play button I was in a concert arena… Hallucinant! (In French) Amazing! (in English). Wahoo! After I tried it with my guitar, a vocal, on strings… perfect! Then, I started to use the 5 Reverb algorithms: hall, plate, ensembleverb, tremoloverb and vintageverb and load other presets. Then, I realised that RF-1 was more than a Reverb. I mean a "Classic" Reverb. Do you know a Tremolo Reverb in the App Store or in the real life? Do you you know a Ping-Pong Reverb too? (When I launched it the first time, 10' seconds after that I received a redeem code from the developer, I noticed in the IAA version the Tempo setting, the Tap Tempo button version. I said to myself, it's cool, but is it really necessary.... Sure, that it is, as well as the 2 modulation buttons.... Check out the video demo below. Note also that there is a Ableton Link feature, with it you will be able to control within RF-1 the Tempo of another App and be sure that your Tremolo or Ping-pong Reverb will be sync with your drums, guitar or else. All the parameters can be controlled via midi, so no problem for an automation too…) In summary, RF-1 is a versatile effect. If you have a small budget and need a Reverb, RF-1 is a good choice. If you have any problem with your budget, even if you own a lot of Reverb Apps, it’s a good choice too because of the processing quality, because RF-1 doesn’t use a lot of CPU. (Great for an Audio Unit plugins). Because of this Tremolo and Ping-pong Reverberation,! A Killer App! A Must Have!
Svep is a Joy Division, a The cure and a Sister of Mercy. Euh, no, sorry, I restart… Svep is a chorus, flanger and phaser. 3 modulation effects used by my favourite bands when I was 15 years old… Hey, Don’t go! (Yazoo 1982). I know that for a lot of people these 3 effects sound eighties but no, not only… led Zeppelin used a lot of phazer on their drums, Lenny Kravitz too… Daft Punk uses a flanger effects in a lot of titles and a chorus is used by lot of artists and sound engineers even if you can not really listen to it. OK! Furthermore,, these 3 effects must be in the basic setup of all sound engineers and guitar players! Like a hammer for a carpenter! So, let’s go back to Svep now. The UI is great, the processed signal is perfect. You can use it as a Stand Alone App, anIAA, an Audiobus & an Audio Unit plugins… A link's switch allows you to work on the L & R channel independently. If not set, a mono to stereo fader is displayed. You know what, if I stop my review here, even if I say that Svep is a Killer App, a Must Have for all Sound Engineers & Guitar’s players, I am sure that some of you will say: I hate the Chorus, the Flanger and Phazer effects… so I will not say this now and will add something to this review. I told you that the UI was great… yes, with one slide (with one or two fingers) up, down left or right, you will no more remember that you are using a Chorus, a Flanger or a Phaser… and if you unlink the 2 channels… things become crazy… so much, that the developer has been clever enough to add 3 presets in the Preset library. a Chorus, a Flanger, and a Phaser to return to the basic: the Chorus, the Flanger, and the Phaser. Svep is a Killer App, a Must Have for Sound Engineers, Guitar Players, Sound Designers,… wait, the list is too long… A Must Have for all iOS musicians, and it’s Free!
Review by Ed FuzzPlus 3, is a resonant lowpass filter (modelled on the MS20 LPF) and a distortion engine (modelled on the Distortion+ pedal) with a feedback loop. You can use it as a Stand Alone App or as an Audio Unit plugins… I really wanted to review another Plugins from Audio Damage, after I made the review of Rough Rider which is now one of my favourite compressor effect… as I am not in the little papers of the Audio Damage team, (Apps4idevices is too old for they know me and A4irebirth too young for interesting them... 😀) so, I had to wait and hoping a new Free App from them… it’s happened yesterda last week and I was really excited to test it… like Rough Rider, this Plugins is very easy to use, not a lot of parameters… The particularity of FuzzPlus 3 is how the frequency knob interacts with the Feedback knob. By using these 2 knobs, you can create some very interesting sounds. FuzzPlus 3, you like it or not… I like it… very much! But if I rate it as a Super App only, it’s only because it’s a distortion effect, and even if I love the processed sound, I still need other Distortions’ Apps. Despite this it’s a Super App and a Must Have! A Must Have, first because of the processing quality, the unique sounding and secondly because FuzzPlus3 is Free!
Review by Ed If I start my review by telling you that I used MicSwap Pro everyday during the last 3 years, I will kill the suspense in the egg (French expression), but what can I do? Lie? No, impossible… Never mind, I killed the baby (yes, in French, we can also say that we kill the baby in the egg)… …Enough with (stupid) jokes and return to our sheep (French expression). MicSwap Pro is a microphone emulator and a stereo track recorder too (editor also, because you can trim your recording or your imported files). 15 MICROPHONES MODELLED • Shure SM58 • RCA 7• Sony Laval iframe • Megaphone • Amperite SR80 • Neumann U47 • Neumann U47 • Neumann KM140 • Neumann CMV563 • AKG 414 • AKG C12VR • Royer Ribbon R121 • Old Timey Radio Mic • Ribbon Fathead 1 • Ribbon Fathead 2. The App is very very well done… easy to use, swipe to select the previous or next microphone, (you can re order the microphones list in the dedicated page), Tap the logo on a microphone to display the infos. The recordings manager page,.. Perfect… everything is perfect, but this is not because of this that I used it everyday during the last 3 years everyday! It’s only because it’s the best mic emulator from all the App Store… the quality of processing, the choice of the mic models… when I plug my classical guitar into MicSwap,… OK, I can talk and talk, or write and write… The best is that you watch and listen to the video demo below… MicSwap Pro, a Killer App, a Must Have!
