64 step sequencer / 99 save slots / 4 Drum Tracks / 4 Multi-touch Pads / 3 Signal generators per voice; Noise, Click and Tone / Frequency modulation (on pads 3 and 4) / Amplitude modulation (on pads 1 and 2) / Delay unit (with infinite looping capabilities) / EQ on each Tracks / 5 send effects (distortion, delay, reverb, bit crush, chores/flanger) / 2 master out effects (Soft clip, 4-pole low-pass filter) / Mixer. DrumSynth is an “old” App now. When it was released there was not so many Drum Machine Synthesizer in the App Store like we have now. It's still a good App, a very good one because of the generated sound more than the available features. Only 4 tracks, no Midi, no Song Mode…

An App that I really love… An old one. 5 modules. A Midi Drum & Bass loop player. (33 loop styles). For the Drum module: a cut-off, a resonance, a bit shift (with A bits and rate parameters). For the Bass, an Octave selector, 4 waveforms types, a bitshift, a cut-off, a resonance and an ADSR. Also a switch to lock the Bass on the root note. A melodic keyboard (ribbon) named Strum located on the right side with an Octave selector, 4 waveforms types, a bitshift, a cut-off, a resonance and an ADSR, a Tremolo depth and speed, a pitch wheel stiffness and a switch to enable a touch pressure with a pressure gain. 16 scale types are available. (The scale key will follow the Chord you are playing). The Chord module comes with the same parameters excepted for the scale. You select a Major and minor Chord as well as the root note above the 9 big Chord's Knobs (Pads) available. A knob allows you to play 8 chords types. To finish an Arpeggiator with 4 waveforms types, a volume slider, cut-off, a resonance and an ADSR, a Bitshift, a Rhythm selection menu and a Arpeggiator type: Random, Up, Down, Up Down. This is all for the modules. A Mixer is also available (Volume only). You can save your setting (Palettes), record your performances and share them to Soundcloud. Four switches allows you to recall a Palette but there is a bug here. You can also change the colour of the UI but there is also a bug here. All the modules can send MIDI notes to another App. This turns polychord into a Chord Midi Controller Too! A Powerful one! For the sound, I love it. I really really love it so much that I used it a long time ago to create a soundtrack for a TV documentary…. I love this App! I really love it. I didn't make its review at this time, but if I had done it, sure that I would have rated it as a Killer App for Composers. For beginners also because of its ease to use. With the Midi out feature and the last update that made it an iOS 11 ready App, it becomes a Must Have too!.
Review by Ed Do you know why I asked this developer to review All My Music? Because there is not a lot of Music player that can display the BPM of a Track. More than can search for a specific BPM or a range. Unfortunately when I had my little trouble 3 years ago I lost all my Music, my Loops stored in the Cloud. So, I have no more tracks with a BPM indication. This App is very simple but great! The search filter allows you to search tracks with comments too, to set a target track depending of its BPM or pitch. A precious tool for those who works with a lot of Audio Loops. A Super App! A Must Have for Composers, Arrangers and DJ too. One more day without the App of the day...
Yesterday a record! 689 unique visitors! Thanks to all of you! Today I received the first codes for the next Sunday Contest. Don't come too late... Have a nice day or night depending of where you are in the Galaxy! Cheers Ed Kap! I don't know what's happening to me the day I made this review, but it seems that I had something else to do... So, here is my shortest review and video... Petites Ondes is unfortunately no more available. If you like to play an Ondes Martelot, try Ribbons from Olympia Noise Co (To find a specific App, go to the Home page then Tap the Music Logo icon) Published on 28 Jan 2012 Petites Ondes is an Ondes Martenot! The first for iDevices! The App is pretty well done, you can play with the ring like a real one... A great App! Ondes MartelotThe ondes Martelot, "Martenot waves"), also known as the ondium Martenot, Martenot and ondes musicales, is an early electronic musical instrument invented in 1928 by Maurice Martenot. The original design was similar in sound to the theremin. The sonic capabilities of the instrument were later expanded by the addition of timbral controls and switchable loudspeakers. The instrument's eerie wavering notes are produced by varying the frequency of oscillation in vacuum tubes. The production of the instrument stopped in 1988, but several conservatories in France still offer instruction to students of the instrument. In 1997 the Ondéa project began designing an instrument based on the ondes Martenot. Since the Martenot name is still protected, the new instrument is called Ondéa, but has the playing and operational characteristics of the original ondes Martenot. In 2001 a completed prototype was first used in concerts. These instruments have been in regular use since 2005.[4][5] In 2017, a new version of the Ondéa, built by Audities Studio of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, became available.[6] Since 2008 Jean-Loup Dierstein, with the support of Maurice Martenot's son, has been developing a new, officially named ondes Musicales instrument based on the model used when production stopped in 1988.[7] In 2016, ASADEN, a small company based in Asakusa, Japan, started distributing the first 'Ondomo' instruments. The Ondomo is a smaller, analog ondes Martenot instrument that has been in prototyping stages for several years. 1: StringTracker is unique in the App Store 2: This App is not a gadget 3: This App is for Pro musicians 4: This App is a Must Have for musicians and roadies 5: Let’s talk about it now… This app is for all musicians who play a stringed instrument. or all the roadies that deal with a musicians playing a string instrument. Which stringed instrument? any ... Before going further, I need to explain the purpose of this App., so, let's go. StringTracker allows you to manage your set of strings for all your instruments. what brand, model, type, and when you will need to replace your set. first you add your instruments to a list. you can also create categories like Acoustic Live, Studio, Guitar, Bass, Cello, Joe Perry, Jimmy Page ... when you add an instrument in the list you can indicate its serial number, note, Brand and a photo . This done, you select your strings set from the list. A huge list, but if by chance your preferred set is not in the list you will be able to scan its QR code or create one manually. You can add a description, rate the set, and indicates how of this set you own To finish, you will indicate the date to which you will have to change your set. I started this review by saying that StringTracker was for pro musicians: because they usually use several types of instruments, different tunings and it quickly becomes the hell to remember what kind of strings were the best for such or such circumstances or type of use. Worse for, the roadies that must manage several musicians. In summary, I love the concept, I would love to have it at the time I had all my guitars and stringed instruments. My roadies too... A Killer App, a Must Have. I forgot something: in the App you will find some useful info about the types of strings, the tension to use, .... Review by Ed iAbyssal software synthesizer is based on the AtomoSynth Abyssal (check it out at the end of this post), an analog noise machine featuring a big photocell allowing the user to play in a similar fashion of a photo theremin. Uses the frontal camera of the device for emulating a photocell so it can be played by varying the amount of light that the frontal camera receives. Features one oscillator, one white noise generator, two low frequency oscillators, and one low / high pass filter. Factory and User patch memory. Photocell (frontal camera) calibration functionality for adjusting its sensitivity to different environmental light conditions. Inter-app-audio and Audiobus support as a generator unit. This is that App description from the user manual but strangely. it does not mention the delay, so I have to add it to the features list. a Delay with a frequency, a Feedback and Level setting knob. An On / Off switch is also available. The two Low frequency oscillators, come with only one difference: the MOD switch which sets different modulation targets. For LFO1 , sets the modulation target to: FREQ : Main scillator frequency. LEVEL : Volume level of the main oscillator. NOISE : White noise volume. For LFO2 , sets the modulation target to: CUTOFF : Cut-off frequency of the filter. PEAK : Filter resonance or peak level. AMP : Filtered main oscillator + noise mix. The generated sound is top, great! Unlike a lot of others Theremin you can create a lot of variety of sounds. Your movements can control enough parameters to have a lot of diversity of effects too. In summary, iAbyssal works like a real Theremin. You can move your hand to shape the sound, even by changing the light of your room. My opinion is that iAbyssal is the best Theremin like App from the App Store and has no real competitor since the disappearance of Theremax from the App Store. A Killer App!, a Must Have!

SteelPanSS should have a great sound like all the App from this developer. I will be really happy the day he will add an Audiobus, IAA or Audio Unit feature. Today, the Sunday Contest #013 $101.87 of Apps to win... Don't come too late... Don't forget to share one of my Facebook post to participate... You can do it right now... Have a nice day or night depending of where you are in the Galaxy! Cheers Ed Kap! BeatHawk is a 16 tracks Drum Machine, or Soundboard, or DrumPads, or Sequencer or a Workstation. The App is so well done that you can use it as you like. So well done that the Audio Unit version allows you to do exactly the same things that you can do with the Stand Alone version. Note that it is not so usual... On the main window, 16 Pads. On their left side, a Volume button: Tap it and play the selected Pad (track) with the 16 Pads. Each Pads come with a different volume setting (from 7 to 127). A Mute button allows you to Mute all the desired Pads. The Scale window turns BeatHawk into a real sequencer because of its two one octave keyboards. Yes, unlike a lot of Drum Machines, here you can play chords, select a scale and the root note as well. Top! A little further down, the Erase button, the Select and the Repeat (Pad) button. On the other side, the Edit window where you can load a Sample from the Library (you can also import your own samples from here),.set the pan, pitch, and gain of the selected Pad. Also, a Delay, a Reverb, a LP and HP Filter send slider. (The parameters for these 4 FXS can be found in preferences menu). A Record window where you can record the input signal, an ADSR window, a Sample window where you can Trim and Stretch a sample. The Pattern window where you can select a Pattern, copy it and paste it, set its length from 1 bar to 16 bars, and the shortcut to jump to the sequencer. Here also a great feature... depending of the way you are using BeatHawk, or the track you like to edit you can switch ftom a conventional sequencer (select a track and the grid editor will display the note's pitch on the vertical axis) or the "Drum Machine" sequencer where all the tracks are display on the grid. The song mode is really great too and here also a great feature which allows you to mute or not a track from a Pattern. In summary, BeatHawk is more than very well done... BeatHawk is very, very, very well done. Very very easy to use. You can automated all the parameters. The Audio Unit version is awesome and impressed me a lot... Before to say the magic quote, I have to talk about the online Store. so many Packs there.. so many kinds of packs... middle east, asia, vintage keynoards, piano,..(Check out the last section of the tutorial below). So, it's time to say the magic quote now: A Killer App, a Must Have!
